Oh dear Marat...

Hmm, I sense a Djokovic victory at this tournament.... either him or Clement, I reckon, and you can never count the latter out when it's indoors in France. Still, good win for Hirsute Jurgen, doesn't that make the head-to-head 2-1 in his favour after they split wins in 2004 in Hamburg and Paris respectively?

10-05-2006, 10:06 PM
Safin should retire from tennis now, not 2010.

10-05-2006, 10:07 PM
I had hoped that Melzer'd totally choke after being 5-2 up, and he promptly gave up two of his service points. Then Safin played, and whoosh, the mini-choke was countered by another mini-choke, and the last of the series of explosions that comprises a Safin match went off.

10-05-2006, 10:07 PM
How are they still playing matches in France? It must be early in the morning there.

10-05-2006, 10:07 PM
Oh dear, poor Safin  But Melzer! Oh dear!

Really surprised by this loss...didn't see it coming. Jurgen is hot right now...but not really a huge threat indoors. Marat

10-06-2006, 12:29 AM
Marat is reaching new heights when it comes about being inconsistent.

I was texted the wrong result by a friend, that Safin won - not a tennis fan!
Then I checked it for myself... :sobbing:

10-06-2006, 10:07 AM

10-06-2006, 04:17 PM
Meh. Another week, another fuck-up job. I can't say I'm surprised. But somehow I never get used to the feelings of utter DISAPPOINTMENT!!!

10-07-2006, 02:48 AM
Congrats Jürgen.
Auf gehts.
Kom igen.

I feel the need to compensate for the people who bitch about yet another Marat loss to a shitty player like Jurgen. Shitty, yes...but not incapable or unworthy of a win. And no, I didn't see the match, but he did manage to string enough wins together to win an entire tournament recently.

Boo-f*cking-hoo. Convert to Federerism if you want to back a winner all the time. :wavey:
