Baseball has some good Division and Wildcard races! :bounce: But the looming Strike is ruining the excitement for me. How about you?

Why would I watch baseball which is americanized cricket that makes me yawn - when i can watch Hockey, football (aka soccer), tennis, and a ton of other sports that aren't a bunch of rich lame people scratching their balls and spitting?

Allie, under no circumstances could a strike be acceptable. And their is a good chance that an American League team will beat the Yankees this year. The Red Sox, Angels and Mariners all have close to 50/50 chances to topple the Yankees this postseason. But let's just hope their is a postseason! :eek:

Barrie, they are five games behind the Yankees and they just lost to the Mariners. I think for the Red Sox to qualify for the post season they have to win the east, because the wild card will surely/probably come from the west!

Well, Like I say, the only acceptable team tyo win the World Serious, other than the Yankees are the Red Sox

I'm telling you, the Yankees pitching is it's weakest since 1995. Except for the struggling Mike Mussina, all of the starting pitchers are injury prone! :eek: And the bullpen isn't as reliable as it has been the past few years. The Yankees are vulnerable this year. And their defense has struggled this year. They even made 5 errors in one game recently!

The race in the American League Western Division is tremendous! :) But I think the Mariners will hold off the Angels for the Division title. And the artist known as Jamie Moyer is pitching like a Cy Young candidate! :bounce:

Only a Strike can ruin this great Division race! :mad:

Ahh, players already set a date for the strike - August 30! Those money grabbing players and owners, they do not know how to make a deal! I hope nobody else watches the game once they come back, teheh!
