If Fed stays healthy and motivated and has some good luck, then my prediction would be: Wimbledon 2010. Let's face it - what Roger achieved in the last three years will be impossible to repeat... ok, I said that also at the end of 2004 and 2005 and both time he has proved me wrong, but still... his domination just has to end at some point...

If he does surpass 14 at all which is most certainly not certain.

Nobody knows if Roger ever will, but i'd say at
AO 2010 or UO 2010:angel:

By the time he's 30 he'll have 15+ Grand Slam titles.

At least one French Open title among them.

As negative as it sounds, if fed doesn't achieve 14, I think it will be considered somewhat of a failure for his talent and ability. I have no doubt he will make 14. 2009 I guess is a realistic date.

I definitely disagree with you here. Roger has been too dominant in the past 3 years and blown away too many records for him to be considered a failure because he didn't reach the ridiculous # of 14 GS titles. Even if he only wins the French after this, he'll have GS in the double digits and the Career Slam.

I think it's amazing that he's been able to keep things at the level he has for as long as he has - you really think he'll be able to keep it up until 2009?

No man, I don't think I explained it well enough. From now on, where federer is right now; if he doesn't reach 14 (the later part of his career, now onwards would be somewhat of a failiure). Not his career to date, because that is of course not in question (and the reason why I think he will get to 14 for sure). In other words, I am saying he is too good not to reach 14.

Maybe it's not a failure compared to everyone else, but relative to federer (no question for me that it would be a big dissapointment and shock).

FO 2008 of course;) Seriously, I think it's way too early to talk about that. Federer has still a really long way to go. Winning 6 slams is ridiculously difficult, that is how much Becker or Edberg or Safin/Hewitt/Nadal combined have won.
