yeah, this poster is cool !
They don't really look tired, I mean...it's rather as if they wanted to look impressive.
And seb is handsome, as always...

basically the portraits were taken from the ATP site. You remember the "New Ball PLease" poster? But that one was in B/W.
Indeed, the first time I saw Grosjean, was in the poster of Salem Open, which used the same image... I think it makes Seb looks sexy, esp his bloody nice curly hair... :p

02-18-2004, 02:31 PM
Who cares about the colouring? He'd still look fantastic and have great cheekbones even if the damn poster was in PURPLE! And yes, Lizan, I do study Grosjean's face very closely when ever I get the opportunity...
If I can't see him live I can at least get to see his face on posters, pix and the telly (if Eurosport's in the mood)!

Oh they (Eurosport) really did a great job at this years Australian Open. It was the first time that they actually showed a real interview (not one of only 20 sec). We should really thank them lol.. I think they deserve some credit coz I remembered that Seb "hates" (big word, but...) giving interviews to the press..So what can Eurosprt do??!!

Hi tou you all!
I've posted 4 pics I took last year at the open 13 during the double final that seb won with fabrice santoro.
It's the first time I'm attaching files to a thread and I hope it's gonna work...

Wonder how he actually is as a doubles player. anyway thanks for the photos!

Nice pix, Noa, thanks for sharing!
They just look so funny and cute, Grosjean and Santoro, two little guys focusing hard on the match! I've just been to the official site and the winner's trophy in men's singles look...oh my God! Where did they dig it up? I think I'd prefer to win the runners-up trophy! Actually looks like a trophy and not some giant killer hand, ready to knock you over! Federer with a third arm...poor guy!

mwa ha ha, I've always said those trophies are hideous. But what about this picture of Grosjean and Schüttler at the Tokyo Open: Is Seb taking the mickey out of Rainer or is he envious for only having to pack this tiny ashtray?

KellyluvsGrosjean

Wilma you are so mean... it's not a ashtray!!!
Seb had something tiny but he had prize money... jajaaaa

Well at least Schüttler can stack some money in that ... thing :p

Sorry the quality of pics isn't so good... I think it's cause of the zoom.

Sure,we don't see seb playing doubles a lot. I think this year he won't play doubles at all (or just few ones).
Last year in Marseille he won in 2 sets with fabrice. It was very interesting to see his behaviour during the match. With Fabrice they were supporting each other at any time. And at the end, I remember Fabrice slow down and seb was here, stronger that never! I don't say that because seb is my favourite... Fabrice is the best french double player and at the end of the match seb said that he was so happy to play with him. Fab said he loved playing with seb because he's able to do everything on a court. I think seb could be much better ranked in doubles if he played more in that. But it's not his priority and I'm ok with that. It's so difficult to be well ranked in both simples and doubles. Which player is good in both? What do you think about it?

They also said they would play this year, but unfortunately...
And something funny, they said why they didn't play together in 2002 : because they forgot to register!

Seb is always happy to play in Marseille, he feels home and he's probably so disappointed not to be able to play this year. That's in Marseille he played his first ATP tournament.
Hum, I'm trying to remember something else... Oh yes, I think the man near seb in the second pic is his father in law (wife's father). But I'm not sure!

I think it must have been great fun to watch Grosjean and Santoro play together. They're both such entertaining players in singles and are capable of doing all kinds of shots. I love Grosjean's pace and his exquisite drop-shots and lobs! Santoro is just amazing, still remember a match he played against Safin a couple of years ago, in French Open. The Russian never had a chance! Santoro was just so clever!
I really would love for Grosjean to team up with Santoro again - and maybe win another ashtray for his prize money!!!

That's ok, coz I know I tend to be a little too...enthusiastic - is that the word? I go all overboard and get much too poetic or flowery in my language and I just love to exaggerate everything! So I think we make the right balance together. Nice to see you're back!

well. i really admire your style! :)
and i appreciate ur permanently warm welcome and willingness to help me. bix(xuzizhen) has become my sister ,anyway, would u like to be another? hehe....or am i too rude to talking about that? ....you know i'm always puzzled by western customs which is one of my optional subjects at school.....

ubrunjensen
03-06-2004, 08:39 PM
You actually study Western customs as a subject at school? How strange - and how interesting! We hardly get to know anything about Eastern countries and/or their traditions, only the most basic geographical and political information.
And no, you're not rude at all, in fact you're quite the opposite. I'm flattered that you should ask me, I consider it an honour. Got a sister in real life so I'm used to it and really rather good at being the older sister, though I say it myself! Also thanks a lot for saying such nice things about 'my style' - are you referring to my fondness for enthusiastic language??? Ha ha ha! I just like to be personal and use my imagination. I love speaking/writing in English and I kind of use this forum as a place to practice.
So, any news about our main topic, Grosjean?

Great, Bix! You're also a Cancer! My dad's birthday is July 3rd, and my bf's on July 6th, so we all kind of celebrate our birthdays together! And Stella, I enjoy to talk about other things than just Grosjean, it's great to get to know you all a little better, and I'm pleased to see we have more in common than just our interest in tennis and Grosjean!

:wavey:  We, who were born in the sign of Cancer, really must stick together, so yes, let's celebrate all our birthdays in here at the forum! Would be fun to receive lots of great cards from all over the world!

I used to adore the French national team  but that was way back in the good old days of Michel Platini, my hero, and Jean Tigana and all the other oldtimers whose names I don't remember anymore! Today I prefer club football, and I'm a loyal fan of Real Madrid. In international football I usually support the national teams of Spain (though they're mostly crap), Portugal (but they never win anything and they were some of the biggest losers of the last World Cup) and Italy (they're getting too defensive for my taste).

That said I just loved the surprise team of Korea, they were so fantastic, and on home ground too! :worship:
