He MUST step up a lot if he wants to win.

He'll lose to murray in the semis if he gets there

Come on man...Vicente took a set off Ljubo so you should at least do him the honour of spelling his name correctly!

With a performance like that...Ljubo will be lucky to win another title this year

Now Murray is better, Ljubicic is way worse and this surface is slower!

Murray was up a set and a break there, so he's got every chance if they do meet. But this result today doesn't say much about Ljubicic's hopes of winning the event - remember who Hewitt lost a set to in his first match en route to victory at Queens this year? For that matter, who took a set off Federer in the earliest days of his grasscourt winning streak?

Look, Ljubicic is my favourite player. I love the guy and I think he's more than just a big serve. But it is true that his last performances were pretty bad for the number three of the world. And today it was no exception. Losing a set to a claycourter in a indoor tournament is pretty bad for him. Of course he has time to recover, but if he continues like that, I can see him losing to Benjamin Becker in the next round.

Yeah, Ljubo is not in top-form, but, he lost a set, what's the big deal? he lost a set in Chennai 2nd round, I think Vanek took 2nd set 6:3, and in the semis Ljubo beat Vliegen, saved 1mp, so it's nothing. LJUBO RULES! C'MON LJUBOOOO! :worship:

Losing a set here doesn't really say much. So he's a little off, he has plenty of time to recuperate. Remember Roddick's first round in Cincinnati? 6-7, 7-6, 7-6. And then he never lost a set again in the tourny and won it.

He got lucky with his draw...a different concept

The draw may have been a factor, but still, if you looked at the first round game, Roddick completely sucked. Nothing clicked for him that day and he was very lucky to win the way he was playing. He really picked up his game and got progressively better as the tourny went on.
