For me, it's Federer. I have nothing against the guy, but he looses in such spectacular fashion that it's quite fascinating to behold. He starts getting stressed out, his forehand fails him and he blasts balls angrily into the crowd, all the while getting mentally screwed up.

Absolutely no one. At this point I could care less if someone loses or wins. If I am watching it I just want to see a good match. And I always like the underdog anyway-just because they have to play really well most times to get that win.

I always choose Fed's opponent (thus the underdog) each match. That's bcoz almost always, Fed wins the match so I give all my support to the other player, just so he can still have some pride left after Fed walks all over him.

I saw it with my 2 eyes. Showing such disrespect to an opponent :o This one can find him his corner in the Hall of Shame. What's the big deal with just standing and being aced, besides a point only takes 3 seconds. :p

Give up the whining, this Rochus guy should give up his act and grow tougher and he might be more respected.

Kiefer (he's just the collin farrell of tennis...smug)
Hewitt (for all the abuses he thrown while he's a pro player and also because Aussie commentators are always bias when he's playing)
Haas (don't like how he give deadly stare to his box when he missed a point. i mean, it's not their fault)

On the mens side Hewitt and Kiefer, on the womens side Sharapova. Usually if there is nobody i like left in a tournament, i cheer for whoever knocks out either one of the 3, especially Hewitt and Sharapova, cos Kiefer rarely makes the later rounds of tournaments i get to see, and I only started to dislike him this year.

Maybe, the animosity against some players comes because of their way of celebrating. Some use the "I´m fucking you" gesture.... or even an unnatural "I´m pumping this fist up your ass" orgasmic gerund. Not to speak of accompanying nasty shouts..... I Think Nadal, Roddick, Hewitt are kings in this and, of course, in adverse polls . . . .

You must've be experiencing quite a harsh time enjoying tennis the past few years, though? ;)

As for myself: I have very little (or at least try to) negative feelings for anyone, but I've recently caught myself rooting for players who are being bugged by the crowd - and as such against the other poor chap for a bit, even if it concerned one of my favourite players.

Oh and to be fully honest, I'll make ONE exception, but only for the WTA: Shriekapova. I can't stand her!

Eh...nobody really. I don't hate any player that much that I wish he would lose. Yeah, I would like to see Fed lose more often but that has nothing to do with the man itself. It would just bring some of the tension back and usually the other player has to play great to beat him giving us great tennis to watch. Other then that I just want the better man (of that moment) to win, even if I like the other player better.

Nadal but because of his overzealous and unobjective fan-bois and girls. There is nothing so irritating as to hear them carp on about how great he is beyond what he's achievements are due.

Murray (but only when he's whining). When he's just concentrating on playing solid tennis I'm quite happy to cheer him.

Anyone whose matched up against Gonzalez. Such outrageous selections of shots have to be cheered always!

actually I watch tennis simply for the enjoyent it brings. as long as it's a good match then I really don't care who wins or loses. nominally I am a Roger fan but if he were playing say Gasquet and Richie was hitting sublime winners from everywhere to win it, well I'd be cheering Richie on. perhaps it is more accurate to say I support the one who plays more beautiful (not necessarily more effective) tennis. (as an aside Roger is definitely playing the odds more these days if you compare his matches to say 2004 when he seemed to be intent on hitting winners from everywhere).

in Nadal's case, I have no vested interest in him personally winning or losing. however, given the vehemence with which his more rabid supporters bring to the boards (both here and elsewhere), I do enjoy sticking it to them and hard. not because I am vindictive but because I believe such obviously misguided passion deserves to be drenched as often as possible in cold harsh reality. and there you have it.. a fuller explanation as to why I love to see Nadal lose. nothing against him personally and I rather doubt Rafa gives a toss whether I support him or not :) (though his buttpicking is a little annoying but that's perhaps more my hangup than his!).

Out of the top players (not in the order of which I root against most):
Nadal- I don't care how humble everyone thinks he is off court, I just find his style of play sooooooooo boring. He went from being a moonballer in 2005-2007 to being a moonballer with a forehand (not an asthetically pleasing one either). He has no game. I can't believe that anyone who likes tennis could possibly admire his game style. OK if you like him for other reasons, but his game style is horrendous to watch.

Roddick- His ground game is so ugly and in general his game is terrible to watch. It's amazing how he pulls through so many matches. I also hate how much of a jerk he is. Not to mention the American commentators always gushing about him.

Simon-His game :o. I remember watching him the the spring of 08 and thinking what a pusher he was and saying to myself "This guy will never have anything but mediocre results" and here he is in the top 10. I also think he's overrated. He had a couple of fluke results and here he is.

I also think Djokovic and Del Potro are one-dimensional but I don't root against Djokovic because he's Serbian and Del Potro always earns me easy money in mm tournies.

I also hate the rest of the Spaniards because they never seem to have any balls except when I bet against them.

Definitely Roddick, it's always entertaining.

Blake cause he so often tries to make some kind of federal case out of it, about something being unfair or his opponent being mean to him.

Baghdatis just because.

Murray because, although I like him, he's a little too big for his britches at this stage of his career, what with his "favorite" status and all.

Karlovic because he gets so frustrated when serve and volleying while standing on a ladder isn't enough.

Bedrych can be entertaining.

Hewitt cause he's such a feisty little SOB (I mean that in a good way).
