Knew this would happen. :(

Last week I waited and waited and only got the Broncos -6 just before kick off.

Not waiting around this week as they have already dropped and may well again.

Brisbane over Bulldogs @ $2.00

If you going to take Melbourne, I think better value in them to win the premiership than beating St George... so:

Melbourne to win the comp @ $4.25

doggies over broncos..

this time around the dogs will have a full bench and not 14 players like before..

asotasi might be back also..

is this the semi finals of the premiership ? Should I begin hedging my bulldogs outright now?

If Asotasi is back and fully fit, dogs win this by 10+

If he isn't, Dogs win by 6 :p

Knights were rubbish on Saurday night, my local junior team could have shown more fight then what they did. Broncos will get bounced this weekend.

The other game is going to be very very interesting.....

I think a few Bulldogs backers might be in for a rude shock .. Broncos match up well with the Dogs .. As a Broncos supporter I hope Asotasi comes back .. No football in five weeks and playing on a suspect knee .. ? Not what you want in a game like this ..

For mine the biggest danger to Brisbane on friday night is Brisbane .. Coming off a 50-6 win and going up against a team they've outscored 55-6 in their two games this year, over-confidence could be a factor..

Could be just me, but last night on the news when Asotasi was running he didnt look comfortable at all and he hasnt even attempted any laterall movement yet. From what Ive seen, hell struggle to play, and if he does he could be quite ineffective.

I agree with Flam, its evident that the Broncos match up very well with the Bulldogs and whilst Hunt didnt have ALOT to do last week, he offered that option in attack and was safe as a house at the back.

Im leaning on a Broncos win.

asotasi will be back playing
http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,8659,20438645-23214,00.html

the doggies will now have their full forward pack once again. a well rested and fresh forward pack..

if the broncos couldnt handle the dragons forward they sure wont be able to handle a doggies well rested and fresh one.

The fact is they have proven they can handle the Doggies forward pack twice this season... full strength or not.

The Dragons are a bit of a "bogey" side for Brisbane... no comparison tot he Dogs in my opinion.

From a Brisbane point of view, bring him (Asotasi) on .. he's a force when fully fit, but on friday he'll be way underdone ..

The jury's still well and truly out on whether the week off helps or hinders teams at this time of the year ..

You can't draw comparisons like that with Brisbane's / St George forwards .. The Dragons pack did win the way a fortnight ago, but they're a different kettle of fish to the Dogs' pack .. They play a different style.

Anyway, talk is talk, we'll see how the cards fall come friday night ..

you cant count the last game, injuries and being reduce to 14 players is not fair.

the 1st time they meet this season, i dont know, both were coming off origin 1 , were omeley and mason had big games and had to back up on the friday, but the broncos also had players in origin 1 also. so cant complain about that.

doggies have had 2 wins this year coming off the buys, so i dont think the week off will hinder them, last time i remember they smashed the cowboys at townsville 40 points to 18 or so coming off the buy,in fact i think they have the best record for wins coming off the buy.

Round 4 - BYE
Round 5 - Vs Penrith 30-12

Round 21 - BYE
Round 22 - Vs Cowboys 54-14

I totally agree with everyone's opinion regarding Hunt. The kid in IMO is the Broncs' key man in attack long with Lockyer. But the Broncs' backs are only as good as how they go up forward. I know they may match up well but the Dogs' pack are far superior than the Broncos' pack in every aspect, they are bigger, stronger, quicker and more importantly they all know how to offload.

The things Asotasi does as a forward is mind boggling, best prop I have seen in ages and IMO the best in the world in his position along with possibly Fielden for Wigan at the moment. Asotasi can run not only run with the ball but can step like a back as well.

I've got plenty of excuses for their Rd 24 game where they got stuffed 30-0...
* Sonny Bill pulls out before the game a stiff knee before the game
*Mason gets reported within 10 min - you can't tell me this didn't affect his game that night, he had a shocker
* Within first 15min Asotasi gets injured
*Tonga and Myles get injured around 25min mark
* What exactly were the two teams playing for that night? Broncos pretty much their season, whereas the Doggies had a mortgage on the 2nd spot....

Now the Dogs have a full squad. Yes Asotasi will be underdone, but Folkes has been in the game as a player and coach way too long to be playing him in such a crunch game if he wasn't 100% fit. Regardless the dogs have the depth up forward to cover for him. Their forward pack is the best in all aspect I have seen EVER. Even better than the Broncos of the mid 90's purely because of their superior athletism.

Dogs have the Broncos pretty much covered all over the park with the exception of the halves.

My only concern about this game was potentially the fact that they were coming off a week's rest - but Xcrap beat me to it. Look at how they have gone coming off a bye this season

I'm going to be hammering the Doggies come this weekend, just monitoring how the line moves and by all looks Broncos are getting pounded as it is basically a pk' em game at the moment.

Mr Flamboyant

Reminds me more of 2000, when the Broncos were in the Melbourne's shoes and the so-called "Baby Eels" were everyone's tip to roll the minor premiers in the prelim final and take the premiership ..

Tempted to take the Dragons +6 at HT, Dragons have had their chances to score but handling errors have let them down.

Also recent history suggests the team with the week break fall away in the second half. Eels and Dragons did it last year and no need to say anything about last night

Ok small play on Dragons +6, still want Storm to win but will be hoping for a <6 point win to get the double hit.
