fed will completely own nadal next year. Nadal is not Fed's next rival- it is either a more mature Baghdatis, Gasquet or Murray who are infinitely more talented than Nadal and will take more time to develop

07 clay season (could be RG)

Federer isn't the type of guy who would be worrying about a poor record. I still think Nadal has the edge over him on clay, but Federer could still beat him.

either MC or Rome

Federer's stated that because Nadal is a lefty, he will always give him trouble....

And correct me if Iím wrong, but wasnít it Uncle Toni that changed Nadalís grip from rightly to left when he was young?

Seems like we need to add a Crystal Ball to the increasing list of Toniís magical equipment. :D

r u psyhic?? Thats such a random explanantion. Nadal had a bad hard court season this year...In 2 years when he finds his game on hard courts, we'l look back a his records and laugh. just like we do at agassi and sampras when they were 20..oh wait, theyre american

well, in my opinion Nadal won't be able to do the triple Monte Carlo-Roma-Roland Garros next year. Federer might not win RG, but at least should be able to win a MS title on clay against Nadal.

Rafa = Fed Killa

Rafa is more talented that the rest of the young guns combined. Those fools can't even make it to the top 5 where idiots like Ljboho have made it.

again they take time to develop. They don't develop overnight. Mentally they need to be stronger. baggy is a top 7 player, only 2 more places to overtake (lubushit, boredo), but isn't up to it mentally compared to Nadal (nadal thrashed him in Wimbly)

When Nadal breaks a muscle or his left arm during the match Federer will win a match on clay against Nadal

Probably Rome or one of the other clay court events leading up to the French.

RG 07 i think, Roger is increasingly becoming a better player and even though Nadders is a great player and is certainly the number 2 guy in the world, Fed just has that advantage over him. If he can keep up like what he did in the first set of RG 06 then certainly.

The likely place he will beat Nadal will be Rome. It will be very difficult for him to beat Nadal in RG. My 2cents

If Fed keeps reaching clay court final, after claycout final, he could pontentialy beat Nadal on clay. Rome is his best bet, due to the spee do the actual court, again, Nadal has to be a little off, and Federer on top for this to happen. Courts like the super slow Hamburg, or bit faster RG courts favor Nadal.

Nadal is dominating on the clay court, but Federer had the opportunity to beat him many times (Roma). It's really a mental block for Fed, and Wimby will probably help him next year, even though grass is HIS turf :)

I think Federer will win a MS, then take him again at RG.

After watching the clip Controlling fear (www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQxt9kSY0jU) Roger won`t loose anymore against Rafa.

What, he isn't the best already?

Beating Nadal on clay is not even necessary for him to win French - Nadal can fall before the finals.

It's impossible to predict when and if Fed will beat him on clay, but he certainly is able to

But you are forgetting that Nadal is dveloping his game every year, he made his serve better, his volley are better his backhand is better , his passing shots are better, if he improve even more in 2007 Federer will not stand a chance against him on clay unless Rafa will be injured or something, he has awesome speed and his game suits clay the best, and if Nadal will improve backhand more Federer will have problems to win a set because Roger's backhand is useless on clay against Nadal, because it gives Rafa many cheap points (like in Monte Carlo - about 80 UE from backhand), an

You all assume that nadal can continue play with this intensity on clay without paying the price.I dont think he can honestly. His style of play is very intense and his body wont last in that level for too long. Its inevitable.I think Agassi also said something like that about Nadal a while ago.

exactly my same thoughts, a lot of guys think that there is a lot of capacity for nadal to improve but to the contrary, his style of play will cause him a lot of injuries and his court speed can only go down from here.i think nadal has already seen his best seasons, ie 2005-06. nadal will also lose to some clay courters and have his streak broken in 2007.

also, i think federer will realize he cant play defensive against nadal in order to beat him on clay. he shouldnt try to beat nadal at his own game. i have high hopes that federer will complete his career/roger slam in 2007.

Last year people said (including me) that federers getting close but after watching him in the french open final that chain was broken.

He has a decent shot in Rome (since the court plays fairly fast for clay). He should kick himself he didn't do it this year... 4-1 up and 2mp later on... damn

Realistically though, I think other players games are much more suited to taking out Nadal than FedEx. It's not set in stone that he has to beat Rafa to win RG.
