Is Davydenko cool?

I think he is TOTALLY cool. Do you think he is cool? Many consider him to be the lonely Russian, who isn't friends with any of the other hot, attractive, funny Russian players.

He really is overshadowed by all the less talented Russian players, who simply have more pazsaz, and charisma than the shy Nikolay. Do you think this is the case?

Davydenko got slapped with the "what a drip!" tag by several of my non-tennis friends. It seems a lot of them tuned in to watch USO this year and they made several observations:

1) the russians are drips ("especially that guy whose name started with a 'D'")
2) that spanish guy is cool, whats-his-name? ("Nadal?") Yeah, he was great. He wears really long shorts.
3) boy, that federer guy is good huh? (in between yawns)
4) what's up with roddick? (as in, why can't he win anything)
5) who was that black guy? ("You mean James Blake?") Yeah, is he any good? Does he know Serena?
6) did agassi win?

Give your non-tennis friends a hug today for even remembering somebody's name. Buy them a drink if they can remember a player's full name ("Rafael Federer" doesn't count).

My little brother knows the full names of all the young blondes on the WTA tour. :tape:
how old is he?
I've met a few MTF-ers in Roland Garros this year, and well if you go there early the lazy bums of the ATP are still sleeping and there are basically only WTA players practicing :o and they are ALL blonde! they all look alike, that's creepy! :scared: :p

He has got some warm pics from Beijing where he is smiling with his gf who looks pretty good. He actually looks charismatic when he smiles , now if he could take a break and get some strategy into his schedule he would be more accepted I guess

Davydenko is not cool!

I was in Estoril Open's Press Room and after semi-final winner he comes to press room much agressive. The guys that won a contest in tennis.com, at Peter Bodo's blog, could question the players like journalists, one of them ask to Davy if he prefer hard or clay courts... answer of Davy? An agressive "Bla bla bla... It's a stupid question".

All answer to journalist were agressives!

This guy will play a challenger in my neighborhood if I had the money to organize it !!!!
It´s all about money , and playing every single week of the year . You can always find a way to make it profitable if you´re number 6 in the world ........
When he WANTS TO this guy is a great player , not my cup of tea anyway but that is a matter of taste , he is very fast, accurate and hard as a rock . It´s just that playing 35 weeks a year is insane unless you go to every tournament no matter if you´re injured , tired, or in a bad mood,
So here comes my suggestion to Mr.Davydenko
" If you´re going to kick ass , play as solid as you can and hit winners from both sides like a robot let us know so we can sit on the sofa and ...................... watch a movie "
" If you´re going to fix a game against an easy opponent , or retire just after the first set ends please let us know too . We´ll make some good cash while you make that " Broadway parody " !!!!! "

I think Davydenko is more 'underrented'.
