Federer the greatest... BY FAR!

Hi, I'm new. I know that this subject has been discussed many times but after reading the boards for a while now, I had to respond!

All this talk about Federer vs Sampras, jeez! When you watch Federer play, it all feels so smooth, he outplays everyone without any effort. His shots (EVERY SHOT) are so perfect and seem so natural, he's just a genius. Perfect offense, perfect defense, perfect movement, perfect net play, perfect baseline, perfect mental strength, perfect serve, etc. He's just BETTER than anyone who has ever played the game. Pete was great, but he depended on his serve and he was very one dimentional. His game was very boring and limited compared to Federer. Federer outplays his opponents in EVERY departement. When Pete was winning, you can basically give him Wimbledon because of his serve, but Roger is just a clear favorite basically everywhere he's winning several slams a year all over the world. And even on clay, the last 2 years he lost at the French to probably the best clay courter of this generation, otherwise nobody else would have stopped him while someone like Sampras lost to tons of people on clay. Roger Federer is just so complete and can do incredible shots time and time and time again, he's just at another level.

You know, when Pete retired, I never had dreamed that his record would ever be beaten. But Roger will do it and so easily, he's just by far the greatest. Nobody comes close. Nobody! :worship:

I agree with you 100%: we should all start threads every few hours reminding everyone about how fuckin great roger is. because clearly, not everyone is smart enough to figure it out for themselves.

For those who think we dont need to remind ourselves why Federer is the greatestt, I ask them...Why Not? Haha. 6 more and Federer will have the most slams in history but he is a living legend at 25.

I request not only a deletion, but a temporary embargo on Just Cause (Unjust Cause would be a more appropriate title) creating any more threads in GM.

Six? Pah! He's now in competition with Margaret Court, just as Nadal's in competition with Chris Evert for his clay streak.

Sadly, there are a lot of people who say Roger isn't all that great. I guess they're in denial.

Welcome to MTF, fedexpress, its great to have yet another Roger thread.

Roger's Threads are like Pringles, one they pop you can't stop (them).

But hey, I have to say, that yes, Roger is quite probably the best player of all time, barring Injury, of course.

Welcome Aboard.

I'm pretty sure starting 457 threads stating the exact same thing isn't going to help much. Those who understand and know tennis will appreciate his greatness and those who don't won't.

people are entitled to their opinion, some may say roger is the greatest, some may say pete, why you think those who do not think roger is all that great is in denial

Look sunshine are you sure you want to be alienating the "hateful" posters on MTF? It's going to be mighty lonely with just you and the handful of lobotomized Pollyannas that would be left. Truth be told you already appear to be struggling to hold up your end of the discussion without the burden of providing a response. You better just soldier on despite us Dorothy because there just are not enough falling houses around to take us all out. Good luck with the Wizard.

Or maybe if you don't agree on Roger being the greatest, the some he's referring to are those that deliberately refuse to give him credit.

BTW, why was JustCause post deleted? The one in PamV's post in quotes. I don't find anything offensive in those..

I agree. Roger Federer is the greatest player ever! I got so bored with Pete Sampras that I stopped watching men's tennis for a while. I would watch other players matches but not Pete's. I love watching Federer. He consistently makes amazing shots that have never been seen before and his variety is amazing!!! :worship: :worship: :worship:

Go Federer!!! Go Safin!!!!

BUT NOT 100%

You know why I told you not 100% sure Roger is the greatest player ever.

Because, Tennis is keep make more diff. every year.

Who know, Next year will has anthor greatest come out or not.

Who knows. Just guess,

Before 2003, We have never know a guy like Roger to come out and win 9 GS

in 3 and half years.

So, how do we know don't have anthor one to come out as Roger, and beat Roger's record.

I can promise another one is on the way./

But I don't want to tell you who is he?> He is on the way, and ready to come out and shut down Roger

Not yet. He still hasn't surpassed Sampras.
He will, though. Then he'll be the greatest EVER!
