Davydenko will pull out as soon as he is out of US Open, which will be probably within few hours... ATP rules don't allow a player to withdraw from next week's tournament while he's still playing this week. The logic for it is that you can't claim to be injured and unable to play next week and continue playing at the same time...

I saw him play in a challenger last year, when he lost to Eric Taino. Well, he lost to himself while Taino kind of stood and watched from the other side of the court. The worst part was Healey had a matchpoint in the third set. He served, was in control of the point, but the point was stopped by the umpire because one of the 7 year old ballgirls inexplicably ran onto the court. Needless to say, Healey lost the point and eventually the match. He was pretty entertaining to watch though.

I watched him this year at the Aus Open against Volandri in the first round. Not suprised to see Volandri fake an injury after he went down two sets to love would have been pretty embarrasing losing to someone of Healey's talent. Was amusing to hear Healey after the match though to suggest that Volandri had pulled a heart muscle.

lol. I found that quite funny as well. He does have a quali first round though. Hope he does well.

I saw him play doubles once, i have to agree he's not the best tennis player in the world but at the moment he one of australia's best tennis players sadly enough. But he has taken a set off davydenko and Ancic this year, plus making the third round of the aussie open (even if he did get an easy draw) so he's not all bad .
