I hope Youzhny or Davydenko win the USO.

Personally, i'm sick of Federer. In fact, anyone beating him would bring happiness to me, even if it has to be Roddick. I think he is SO boring, and I get sick of him winning. I just want him to do be stopped, and then hopefully he will go into a depression, from losing the USO semis to Davydenko.

JUST wishful thinking, don't go crazy . . .

So, I would like Youzhny to win it, because he kind of random, and he has an interesting face, and it would just shock everyone, it would be AMAZING!

I'd like Davydenko to win it, because he deserves a GS. This guy works HARD! I'm extactic he made the semis, and I hope he disposes of Federer, like, PLEASE, shut the crowd up, stun them, puleeeeze!

well, it's personal opinion, I wanna see Federer win it, because I like him most of the 4 players, which are still in

but sorry to tell you, your hope will not come true, there were bigger chances, though not high, in case the semis would be:
Federer - Roddick
Davydenko - Youzhny

well they aren't, so it would surprise me a lot, if even one of Youzhny and Davydenko is going to make it to the finals

Have faith my friend, have faith.

I totally agree, Federer needs to be beat! It's getting boring, it will be why bother watching a tournament if the same person wins all the time, I'm actually starting to like WTA more than the ATP because it has more diversity. Federer is a terrific player I'll admit that but it does get a bit dull if he keeps winning everything.

09-09-2006, 05:01 AM
That would be shocking

I hope Andy wins it ;)

It would be amusing if it were a Davydenko-Youzny final.

I think that Youzney stands a better chance of making the final than Davydenko does.

A Youzhny - Davydenko final would be like a perfect dream :)
And if youzhny wins it would be even better.

I have lots of dreams like that...

Davydenko doesn't "deserve" anything until he actually accomplishes something.

09-09-2006, 05:21 AM
Strangely, I find myself agreeing  Now of course Federer plays sublime tennis and deserves to win and is already a GOAT and all that stuff, but it would be nice to see someone else for a change. Just my opinion.

If not Fed, then Davydenko I hope.

Me too.I want a Davydenko-Youzhny final!but it will be fed-youzhny...and i think Misha will take this title in 4 sets

yes I agree with you...I would love to see some different people winning the slams and making the finals instead of Federer all the time (and Nadal for that matter - even though I am a fan, I understand some people will find him annoying just like I find Federer annoying). It's good for the sport, good for the spectators and good for the players too.

To be honest I don't care who wins this or any other tournament so long as someone can beat Federer and make ATP tennis more interesting again. I might be ok for Federer fans but they also need to realise that it's becoming so boring with this one-man domination. As someone else on here already said, he is a great player but too much of the same thing wears thin after a while.

Unfortunately though, I can't see Roger losing this tournament.

All the money is on Federer and Roddick.

It doesn't happen often that after a player plays a match of his life he wins the next one. But Youzhny has bigger chance than Davydenko. First of all, Youzhny already managed to win against Roddick, so, although it was some time ago, he won't shit n his pants ;) (no disrespect for Nikolay, tough). Besides, Roddick was already in danger in this USO, but luckilly for him, his opponent (Verdasco) appears to be mentally weak in decisive monents of big matches. Roddick's game is pretty straight, and although Connors tried to teach hime some baseline play, it still looks horrible. Youzhny gained a lot of self-belief, so if he's able to return Andy's serve he may put up a fight

Davydenko and Roddick are the form players. They go into the semi-final having won 10 and 11 matches in a row respectively.

Uuuh, the daily "I'm sick of Federer" thread in GM... how boring. And Youzhny "has an interesting face"? Wtf?! Does that really matter?

09-09-2006, 02:34 PM
I hope one of them wins it as well.

Uuuh, the daily "I'm sick of Federer" thread in GM... how boring.

As opposed to the excitement of the 20-a-day "FEDERER IS SO AWESOME OMGZ" threads?

09-09-2006, 03:07 PM
So actually you don't want Youzhny or Davydenko to win, you just want Federer to lose? :smash:

09-09-2006, 03:17 PM
I want too,but probably it won't happen.
