Anyone else cringe everytime Federer challenges a call?

I just think it's so funny how adamant he was in his comments against the challenge system, and throughout this US Open series I've probably seen him use it more than anyone else :lol: :o

when i saw him challenging a call against gasquet at the toronto final, i could not believe it! and richard could not believe it too! :confused: (was it his first challenge, btw?)

During one of the tournaments this summer the commentator (I forget who) was talking about how it almost seemed beneath Roger's dignity to challenge a call. :rolleyes: This is the kind of Fed worship from commentators that drives me nuts. It's not beneath his dignity, he doesn't oppose it because he thinks it's ruining the purity of the game, he opposes it because it makes the chance that he'll lose points during a match slightly higher. And he'll use it when it's to his advantage to do so just like every other player.

It has been explained before about why he opposed it but Fed haters will never listen. He thought the money could be spent elsewhere. Right now the system is only in place on the show courts. The only reason for that is that it is expensive to deploy and use. Is the system fair to players not playing on show courts?

Now that the system is in place, why would he not use it?

Well he's not going to waste his challenges and not use them, just because he doesn't like the system. That would be ludicrous, as it would put him at a disadvantage.

Federer's usually pretty amazing with his challenges, but since Wimbledon, he just sort of throws them up.
