He's been a top player for a while now. Even lesser players appear in Nike, Adidas, Reebok, etc. Is he refusing to be sponsored?
What's The Story Behind Davidenko and Sponsorship?Veronique 09-07-2006, 08:20 PM He's been a top player for a while now. Even lesser players appear in Nike, Adidas, Reebok, etc. Is he refusing to be sponsored? alelysafina 09-07-2006, 08:28 PM He's sponsored by prince, for everything. Veronique 09-07-2006, 08:33 PM Thanks! I couldn't read any sign on his clothes at all. When did he sign with Prince? alelysafina 09-07-2006, 08:35 PM Last year alelysafina 09-07-2006, 08:36 PM Around September Fumus 09-07-2006, 08:36 PM I think if he looked alittle bit better he might have more oppertunites. He looks like a serial killer. Or sumtin...balding and skinny and like creepy...sorta like someone you would expect to see walking around Frankenstien's castle. You make Andy's fans look bad! :( Veronique 09-07-2006, 08:44 PM Thanks guys! So US announcers were ignorant earlier at the Aussie Open when they told us he had no sponsor. You'd think they'd verify the info before taking it on the air. It turned out it was just a guess work like the rest of us. Are players who arent sponsored allowed o wear t shirts with nike/adidas/fila logos for example? uglyamerican 09-07-2006, 10:33 PM I dont get it.....There is no logo on his clothes and he doenst wear the same clothes throughout the tournament. Are players who arent sponsored allowed o wear t shirts with nike/adidas/fila logos for example? They could, but they won't give free advertising to companies who could be paying them. Same reason they never show logos in movies without getting cash for it. lunahielo 09-07-2006, 10:35 PM I don't think he gets enought credit for his great tennis! federated 09-07-2006, 10:49 PM I think kolya is adorable. he's got an angelic little face and the sweetest smile. I'm calling it hairist. Did anyone else hear someone call out something like, "get that man a hair contract!" in the last game (I think?) of the last set? how rude. bellascarlett 09-07-2006, 10:58 PM I think kolya is adorable. he's got an angelic little face and the sweetest smile. Whipping that one hair folicle several times over, looks kooky. federated 09-07-2006, 11:01 PM If he shaved his head bald he would look a thousand times better. It's the the bottom righ-hand corner of his shirts. ShimSham 09-07-2006, 11:50 PM Both Davydenko and Tursunov used to be without sponsorship. When you get a chance, would you please find me an article about his sponsor? It's seems Prince is missing out on serious advertising here. Why not smack a huge logo on the shirt and get exposure when your man does well? alelysafina 09-08-2006, 01:05 AM http://nikolayonline.blogspot.com/2005/09/more-about-his-clothing-sposor.html http://nikolayonline.blogspot.com/2005/09/fast-rising-russian-star-becomes-head.html alelysafina 09-08-2006, 01:06 AM When you get a chance, would you please find me an article about his sponsor? You've got me   Veronique 09-08-2006, 02:19 AM Thanks, Alely JW10S 09-08-2006, 02:34 AM Davydenko currently does not have a clothing sponsor. He has a deal with Prince for racquets and shoes. Prince was providing him clothes earlier this year but is no longer in the clothes biz from what I hear. Raymond, Stubbs and Gambill, who all formerly wore Prince are looking for new deals as well. alelysafina 09-08-2006, 02:47 AM Let me see what I can find out... because it looks like you're right. The grey and red shirt he's wearing is from a different brand its a C and like and upside down G. ButThe plain shirts he wears, black, red, and white, are still prince. Leo 09-08-2006, 03:13 AM He's been sponsored by Prince for a little over a year, guys. JW10S 09-08-2006, 03:14 AM Not any more for clothing. alelysafina 09-08-2006, 03:18 AM Yeah, the clothing sponsorship was only going to last till the end of last year... *Viva Chile* 09-08-2006, 11:19 PM Both Davydenko and Tursunov used to be without sponsorship. Tursunov is sponsored currently by FILA ;) TenHound 09-09-2006, 12:40 AM I think that C he had on his t-shirt is from Champion, which is sold @Target stores - seriously low rent, but quality generic athletic gear. (ie he bought it himself for not much buckos.) but that stuff's cheap - it's the racquet & shoes that add up. alelysafina 09-09-2006, 01:46 AM I think that C he had on his t-shirt is from Champion, which is sold @Target stores - seriously low rent, but quality generic athletic gear.
