Hard game to pick but Haas needs to start well as he may be tired!!! Good luck Tommy hope you can win!

davydenko all the way if it wasn't for safin playing like crap in the 4th set and TB haas would have lost already...

davydenko is one of the most consistent and hardworking players on tour and he can play some excellent tennis as shown in the semifinal against federer at aus. open.

3 straight sets davydenko

Davydenko is solid enough to handle Haas, He could be the only living russian after next round.

I think Haas would take it.

I question Haas's fitness...was visibly stuggling against Ginepri and was given another brutal test by Safin...and his form hasn't been great either.

I have been waiting for a player who, on paper, has a chance of beating Davydenko...and I have yet to find one! I felt that Gonzo and Safin were best placed to do it...but they didn't even survive to play him...looks like Captain Nikolay has had quite a lot of luck thus far, and a tired and inconsistent Haas is the only thing standing in his way of a SF place.

Davydenko anyone? :p

Davydenko needs to make the match last as long as possible. Haas can surely not survive more than three sets.

Two good players that go by practicaly unoticed, especially Davydenko. Both are good, but I think Davydenko will win this one in a tight 4 setter.

Nikolay plays really solid, Tommy is struggling every match, but he's lucky enough to make victories. Not this time. Nikolai in 3

I absolutely agree with the above statement - Haas will be much more difficult for Federer than Davydenko.

Let's face it, James will lose the night match, the crowd bonus won't help so we can already look forward to the Semi's ^^

even though he choked away the first set, I have faith in Nikolay.

Nikolay did extremely well against Federer at the Aussie, too

Nikolay did extremely well against Federer at the Aussie, too :shrug:But he only took one set, and Tommy took two. Anyway, Tommy just had 3-0 in the tiebreak and gave it all back for 3-3, so we'll see. I still say Tommy.
