- because he is polarizing people
- because he is a target for hate because he is so good, high-ranked, shows lots of emotions, shouts vamos, is jumping around (some people dislike that if it's not their favourite player)
- because he took a pie from Federer's cake because he's basically the only one who could beat him more than once lately
- because people do not like his game
- because people say he's a claycourter and so they are eager to see their non-sense theories being proved when he's losing on hardcourt
- because it's always a big upset if such a high seed loses

choose any of the reasons... that's just what comes first into my mind at 4am in the morning while not wasting more than 1 minute thinking/typing about it

Today was pretty calm, only two or three deleted rubbish GM threads and a few ones I merged into simliar topics. But it was much worse after the French Open final and Wimbledon  I think without any immediate moderation during and in the hours after it, we would have had at least the whole first page just about Federer and Nadal in any variety or duplication ;)

Yes Neely I agree. It has been much worse. But the night is young

Simply because it's not easy to beat him?

That's just plain prejudice. If Federer went 'round the court all the time jumping and provoking his adversaries, I'd hate him too. You're trying to guess what people think and if you can really do that, please guess the results for the elections too.
He IS a claycourter and last week's results are just another proof of it.

Because Mirkaland creates about 500 aliases and uses every single one of them to create mass chaos.

well, this is the first I'm hearing about it. my cable was out and I've been working and watching muted tennis because sharapova was playing and people won't stop talking around here.

so anyway, I didn't know rafa lost and I'm really sorry to hear it and everything. I think he's very special because he's a claycourt champion who can bring it to all the other surfaces, too. I think he'll pass up fed and one day nobody can overtake him. It's inevitable.

there's always next year. it's rafa, don't worry.

The whole tard-ness is one of the biggest reasons...

Of course, and I didn't pretend this listing would be finite and I don't claim to read people's minds, but I know what is written in this forum when Nadal loses and for what reasons he is target for many people.

Honestly if Federer loses tomorrow you mean to tell me this place won't "explode"?

Rafa losing a match is clearly one of the signs indicating the apocalypse.

btw...the people who say he sucks have been saying it for quite some time now. Just because he lost, doesnt mean that suddenly he has changed opinions.
