I can't find this guy anywhere

He defeated Roddick last year playing a really nice match and hasn't been heard from since to my knowledge . He was a junior champ to boot. Is he still playing tennis or what is up ?

Is he still playing tennis or what is up ?He's still playing, although not making a lot of noise on the main tour. Spadea slammed him in straights in the first round last week. He did make the quarterfinals at Indianapolis, where Roddick got his revenge.

Seriously, wouldn't it be the first step to check the US Open draw?

That USO win last year was the biggest fluke in the world :help:. The reason why you don't hear from him anymore is because he's a terrible player, end.

Do some research before you go on talking that way. :( Gilles has fired his coach and his management team and for a while has been on his own, so without any real guidance his talent has not develope well.

Why would he get rid of his entire team like that, it can't be good for him

Why would ou fire your coach and management team and not have an effective replacement or strategy?

I saw him play in LA and he looked awful, like a shadow of himself a year ago.

He is most likely eating willow with the rest of the mooses. He is really a one hit wonder to be honest. I doubt he will pull many more upsets like that, probably be lucky to pull one off at all. Still shocks me how he managed to beat nadal at wimbledon too  that was a poor loss for nadal, even at that stage.

All his victories over Nadal, Roddick, Nalbandian, Agassi, ... were just flukes?!

I guess you think he is a terrible player only because he is coming from little Luxembourg.

Upsetting Nadal and Roddick is great and there would have been a big hype if he would have come from an "important" country ... :o

He is going through a difficult time separating from bad coach Norbert Palmier and lacks motivation but I'm sure that he will bounce back soon!

Well, you won't find him in the second week of a slam, that's for sure.

I watched a bit of his match against Spadea last week and he looked thoroughly lost.

The same in DC...the only reason he got a set on Hrbaty was because Hrbaty stopped playing well. I was sad to see him lose (he crushed a racket after a pretty bad point) because like some of you, i think he has really good potential, just needs to handle some of issues...whatever they may be.
