nadal or youzhny?

could be interesting.... (at least more interesting than nadal vs robredo imo)

h2h nadal leads 3-1

(hard court nadal leads 2-1)

what do you think?

Nadal in 3. He has impressed me a lot. He has rarely expended more energy and effort than he has needed to. He has been efficient so far and don't worry there is still a lot more to come from him. Now that he's at the business end of the tournament, he'll crank it up a notch.

Could be if Misha serves a high % and gets off to good starts on his serve games, but I see Nadal grounding him down. The other thing that Misha should hope for is a windy day and you get that often on Ashe. It always takes Nadal a while to adjust to the wind like he did against Baghdatis in IW.

Youzhny should have won their last Grand Slam match in Australia when he blew an easy swinging volley on match point. Hopefully this time he'll get revenge and not choke his chances. :D If he gets a high percentage of first serves in and can attack from the net, he's a got a shot. It should be an entertaining match. Please no blow out. And please let it be a night match!

I don´t think it´s necessary a high first serve percentage, of course that would help a lot, but all problems Misha gave Nadal in Melbourne will be aggravated in NY and those are not good news for Rafa

Question 1: Where was Rafa ranked at the time?

Question 2: What has each player done since?

You can fit a lifetime in two years.

Answer 1: 2+2 is not equal to 4 in tennis I couldn´t care less about Nadal being the #2 in the world now and #50 in that time, he will still find trouble if Misha is on tomorrow

Answer 2: Tennis is all about match-ups, and Misha is a bad one for Nadal if he executes his game consistently (as he seems to be doing atm). Period

Exactly, he isnt a good enough player to be beating nadal and still even if he had the game to win, he certainly lacks the mental side to pull it off. I can only see one winner, I expect nadal to school this guy in 3 sets.

Nadal in three, four if Youzhny is on fire. The last set will be one-sided.

Rafa comes out good and takes the first set easily enough. Youzhny takes the second set then loses the third after looking like he had a chance. Rafa then cruises throught the fourth.

You know what I think? I think people just really REALLY want Nadal to lose.

(just so there is no mistake. By people, I mean Fedtards)

Youhzny is pretty good. Rafa is more than pretty good. If Mikhail couldn't beat him when Rafa didn't know how to play on other surfaces besides clay, what makes anyone think he can do it now? I dunno. Not that I don't think he will make Rafa work, but I just don't see him winning.

Just so people viewing this thread know. This is utter BS. I read through the thread before making a post like this just to be sure I was right, I wouldn't be rude without checking first but there isn't even any remote evidence of this at all. Sure it has happened in the past but why post this rubbish when it is all in your mind.

As far as I can tell the person who has posted saying Rafa could have trouble is Deivid and if you think he's a Roger fan then your gravely mistaken. The only other post hinting that Rafa might have any kind of difficulty was NYC but that was just common sense. Of course if Misha serves well and plays a good match he can pose some problems to Rafa.

You read this WHOLE thread and didn't see anyone else say that they thought Youhzny would win? By "reading the thread", do you mean "I read the first, second and last post"?

Just for the record, I don't have a single problem with people who really want to see Rafa lose. I REALLY want to see Federer lose, so I'd be a hypocrite if I bashed on them. But saying that Youhzny will beat Nadal in 3 sets seems...unrealistic at best. Like I said - Rafa is much better than when they played last and Youhzny...isn't. And Rafa STILL won.

Of course I don't mean that. If that was what I meant I would have said that. There was a jokey post saying Youzhny would win 0, 0 and 0 but that wasn't serious.

It is not about whether you have a problem. i couldn't care less if someone made a post you disagreed with and you wanted to disagree with it. I'm all for that, that's what the forums are for but why post this BS which seems like it is intended to start some kind of argument. I'm sure you do REALLY want Federer to lose but there's no 'Fedtard' posted in this thread who has said they really want Rafa to lose so why do you try and make something out of nothing?

Rafa in BIG trouble here, no way this is an easy win for Nadal.

Scud, Horna, Moodie and Novak, please I could beat those 4, Nadal has had a laughable draw, Misha has played unbelievible tennis this week beating 4 solid tennis players in Hrbaty, Massu Ferrer and Robredo, you cant even compare these two draws, Nadal still has trouble on fast hardcourts and Misha will definatly make this one a very competitive match, I see this one going the distance.
