Solid from Rafa, still not fantastic but not bad. Novak never really caused too much of a threat to be honest.

Only 2 hours 10 minutes, I'm sure mirkaland will still grace us with some sort of a complaint :wavey:

I didn't see that point in the TB. Friggin' ES showed only the last few games of the match and in those Rafa played worse than yesterday.

And what was the problem with the tape/ankle?

It was awesome, Rafa got lobbed, ran back, got it, couple of shots later Novak hit a shot which hit the top of the net and dropped over, Rafa somehow got it, Novak had a chance to put it away but Rafa sped across and got the volley. Would've been 4-2 down in the tie break, instead it was 3-3 and he didn't lose a point after that.

It wasn't too bad, I think the tape was just a little tight.

i only watched 3rd set and that was pathetic display
the worst rafa in a long time
mind you, he won in straight so who cares
especially with this joke of a draw lol
1/4 finale, no lost set with maybe 50% at his best
and the 1/2 finals is probable
he must raise his level drastically is he wants to challenge for the title

 but anyway.......

1) Horna won a set off him.
2) Federer's draw has been Wang, Henman, Spadea and Gicquel. Hardly testing.
3) He hasn't had to play his best tennis.
4) He was playing 10 times worse at Cincy and Toronto.

You cannot have a Rafa thread w/o Fed or vice versa these days you know. ;)

:wavey:
What was this time out? To retape the ankle?

Of course it was gamesmanship, and did he take too long between the points again, I'm sure Fedtards will enlighten me in a moment. ;)

Oh yes, because a 100+ ranked Philippoussis, Clay courter Horna, Dbls specialist Moodie and 9-match wins this year Veteran Novak has been the hardest draw of all time hasnt it :retard:

Considering both have easy draws, its hard to predict who'll win if the get to the final. Statistics are crap. When they play against much lower ranked player, im sure they try new things and vary their shots a little so it SEEMS like theyre not playing their best but the final brings surprises

Same for me. He was quite solid, but by far not as good as until two years ago...

He definitely had more chances than you'd think at first looking at the score.

Rafael Nadal is the only left handed player left in men's draw

I actually watched a best of 5 set Nadal match all the way through :| (Big thing for me; Nadal's play is to boring for me to stand most times, but today I was ultra bored due to rain - and the match was quite short anyway).

Novak played well, he was quite solid. He did much better than I thought he would.

Nadal still looks a little rusty really, he does need to raise his game if he wants a shot at getting to the final. But leaps better than at the TMSs.

I love Rafa, but I have never seen the top two players in a slam have easier draws than Roger or Rafa...when was the last time the top two seeds did not face a seeded player in their first four matches?

What a shocking result.

Concerning draws, Roger has the easier draw in the first three rounds and Nadal in the R4-QF-SF. I don't think anyone on Rafa's half, except possibly Roddick or Hewitt form regained, poses a serious threat to Nadal in decent form.

i dont give a **** what you think :wavey:

if you want to hear what you want, make a forum, ban all of those who offend you in any way, or lock yourself in the house, cut off all the terible people that are making you mad and your problem will be solved
