What a MUPPET for letting it get to 5 sets but thank you for finally doing it.

(Haas is in my fantasy team so I've been pacing the floor)

Dreadful, dreadful choke by Ginepri in the 5th.

4-3 up, and had 0-40 on the Haas serve. Just made a load of unforced errors from then, Haas could barely breathe by the end and Ginepri must've made 6 unforced errors in the tie break. Shocking.

Okay, now it's just up to Marat not to choke.

09-04-2006, 06:39 PM
Yea Chokenepri just laid down and died in the 5th set tiebreak, losing 7-1. He has long been a disgrace to American tennis. In fact we don`t claim him... ;)

:bounce: :bounce: Tommy!!!

I reallly want Haas/Safin

Tie break is a joke.

09-04-2006, 06:49 PM
Tommy^s injury was the JOKE!

09-04-2006, 06:53 PM
Haas took revenge for last years 5 sets loss in the same round against the same player.

It was clearly Ginepri who lost that match in the end with 3 bps at 0:40.

But yeah for Haas! :)

09-04-2006, 06:54 PM
Haas still made it far too hard for himself, though - he is a masochist.

09-04-2006, 06:55 PM
Well done Tommy, didn't think he'd win it during the fifth set when he had that injury but he managed some how :) Well done to him :)

I agree, Ginepri had 3 bp's and just couldn't convert any of them.

You know, it's a strange situation - seeing someone mentally weaker than Haas. Today it just happened

woohooo Tommy is in the 4th round, sweet sweet revenge, Tommy was killing me there, I tought he was done for, but he won and thank god cause after the second set he was playing like crap. Its bitter sweet that he won the way he did, made the revenge ohh so sweet:)
Just try and make it easier next time Tommy:)

Congrats Tommy! :) :woohoo:

At least he won it at the end, it could have ended differently, too, because Ginepri seemed to have much less troubles on his service games and Tommy had 0-40, facing three break points. I'm glad he pulled himself out of this situation.

Credit also goes to Ginepri for playing well and retrieving lots of shots. I think last year it was Tommy who wasted a good chance to break in the fifth set, something like 15-40, before Ginepri won it at the end.

And Tommy finally won a five set match again! :)

I think he's just freaked out now that people expect him to win, plus, he has to defend his points from last year. He's mid twenties now, one would think that he'd be over 'the nerves', but he's not. Its odd, but Blake, Robby, and Fish are all such chokers.

GREAT JOB TOMMY!! :clap2: :clap2:
glad he did not lose it this year to Ginepri
I was very in worries when he had 0-40
I have sawn the match lost at that time
I had to hold my breath, it was so exciting!
