They both played 5set matches yesterday and now they have play next day at 1pm without any time to recover. So I don't expect a good match. Whoever wins, it will be ugly.

marat should win this one cos rochus really doesn't have any weapons to threaten safin. if safin can keep his ues at a low level and serving well then marat in 3 or 4 sets

really? no weapons? then what would you say about their two last matches or even AO2005 match when Marat needed tiebreaks to win it?
And how about Marat's own words that he doesn't like to play against Rochus?

marat just don't like players that doens't attack but rely on his on mistakes. santoro is a good example.

which only proves that your statement about Rochus having no weapons to threaten Marat is wrong. Besides, it's not like Marat and his game is 100% back :o

well what i meant is that rochus didn't have weapons that could threathen safin if he is playing well.

besides rochus didn't 5 sets against sweeting  he almost lost in the 4th set, so im not impressed. think that safin has a decent chance to win this match

Safin is almost a foot taller than Rochus.
For confidence purposes, I hope Safin wins this, but he's so screwed up mentally you never know what might happen.

Apart from being happy for his win , I'm not too impressed with Marat either.

In fact Rochus is a player who likes to attack and close out a point as fast as he can. He doesn't like long rallies or long matches. Just look at his 5-sets statistics: he loses them quite more often than he wins them.

But I'm afraid Oli won't make it this time. He already said after his first match he didn't played well, and he was very angry he couldn't play because of the rain. He needs rhythm after his injure. Plus he had to play a doubles match yesterday evening after his 5-sets match against Sweeting.

But still I hope he does win, of course :p

Guys like Rochus drive Marat insane. I mean, he isn't as bad as Santoro, but I think Rochus will give Marat a run for it. In the end I expect that Marat will win, though.

My dream of Marat possibly playing Federer is drawing ever closer. :)

well, with a h2h at 5-4 there's surely some little weapons bothering Marat.

It's 5-3 actually. Hopman Cup doesn't count :p
But all their meetings have been close. Particularly the AO 2005 match, in which Marat had like 20 BPs and only converted one.
