basing on today's matches,you would have to say Lleyton obviously :o
BUT you just need to look at how Gasquet performed last year in USOPEN(beating very average players in five sets and then beating Ljubicic and nearly beating Ginepri) to see that it's not as simple

Yesterday I would have opted for Gasquet...But considering their matches today I now say Hewitt, and am thankful for that.

Gasquet can win this match but Hewitt's record at US Open is really astounding. Also, with close to no pressure on him at the moment Hewitt will fancy this moment to go deep in a slam for the first time since last year here.

the funny thing is that Richard didn t even play bad today (45 winners and only 27 UEs),it's just that Chiudinelli seemed to have played really well and very agressively (50 winners)

i think that in term of match up ,Hewitt's game will suit Richard's game better but well.....

I love Richie but I have to say hewitt not because of talent but b/c of experience plus Hewitt's attitude might rattle Richie.

Hewitt is the favourite,just for the fact he has a far greater experience in GSs than Richard ....but at the same time,i don t think we should overestimate his today's easy win against a really shoking Djokovic (who anyway hasn t had any good results on hardcourt this year ..... i really think he was overrated by some posters there before this match against Hewitt)

A counterpuncher with speed vs a semi counterpuncher with power. Going on current form, I'd pick Gasquet in 4 sets but it's the USO where Lleyton has had all kinds of success in the past. I smell a 5 set victory fr Gasuquet still. He needs to come big at events like this and I think it'll happen here!

I think Hewitt usually does very well against yougsters, whom he's never played before. He's not the sort of player who needs to know his opponent's game.

Hewitt is the favourite but it's not a desperate case for Richie. Time for him to beat a big gun in a slam (no, Ljubicic doesn't count).

Did anyone see Hewitt vs. Djokovic? I didn't have the opportunity to see it, so I don't know how good is Hewitt today. The scoreline looks impressive, though.

If it wasn't just a bad day for Nole, I'd think Hewitt should beat Ritchie as well.
