Wouldn't Spain be ranked ahead of Russia?

HOw do they seed, btw? Are the 8 that lost in the world group seeded, or do they take all 16 teams and seed the top teams?

Spain are gonna win anyway today but if they didnt they'd be behind Russia, not that it matters as Top 8 ranked teams in the Play-Offs meet the other 8.

Thanks for the rankings.

But at last check, Stepanek-nadal was still going on... unless Nadal just won 8 games in the blink of an eye. So yeah... Spain might be there.

Ranking is going to change a lot till the draw is made... in particular for teams in zone group 1 who will add a win or two... I guess Germany and Thailand can move ahead of Morrocco, Austria or Canada... that also depends on the points each team will lose from previous years...

For what it's worth... Spain will likely move ahead of Russia in the next ranking, their win over CZE is worth 2500 pts IIRC...

ITF doesn't only use their own ranking for seeding. Among other things they weigh in abilty to perform on different surfaces. That's why they put the Netherlands ahead of Sweden.
