ANDRE ROCKS!

OMG, what a TB! Emotions! Even those stupid mistakes from Pavel can't change it

NYCtennisfan
08-29-2006, 04:02 AM
Andre is hitting the ball as cleanly as he was last year and probably better than he was in his SF match against Ginepri last year. The problem for him is that he can't move to his Bh side very well and he either hits the ball out after getting to it late or hits a weak slice which Pavel pounces on.

Pavel has played really well keeping the ball in play and waiting for the Agassi mistake while hitting very effective dropshots. Agassi just hit the hell out of the ball in the last few points there.

Adler

Looks like he has no fuel. He must be winning points using force of will or sth

Hope he won't retire

Flibbertigibbet
08-29-2006, 04:13 AM
Can't believe how well Pavel has bounced back from the loss of the second set. Whatever happens, he's won me over (what a backhand!). Props to both, though, it's been a high quality match.

This is his last match (potentially) ever - even if he was playing on one leg don't think he will retire

i'd say high quality - not many free points either way, some very exciting points too - AA can hold his head high if this is his last match

NYCtennisfan

Great defense by Pavel...Andre must have hit two FH's well over 90 mph and Pavel picked them up off of the baseline. Good dropshot and it's 6-5. Andre with a SP on his racquet.

waaaaaaaaaaay off topic, but I'd love to see this play that just happeneed...

Jason Repko singles on a ground ball to left fielder Todd Hollandsworth. Russell Martin out at home, left fielder Todd Hollandsworth to third baseman Edwin Encarnacion to second baseman Brandon Phillips to first baseman Scott Hatteberg to catcher David Ross to third baseman Edwin Encarnacion. Jason Repko to 2nd on the throw.

Thanks Benjamin! Please win that title. Benjamin Becker showed against Volandri
that Italian number one doesn´t mean anything for German player.
Benjamin has a winning character and style and I hope that he could meet that
stupid Grosse Jean next and send him back where he belongs and that is
jumping on grapes.

I was there all day; the Lopez win was a surprise - he was really sailing and Lujbi had only a few flashes of brilliance. Paradorn looked incredible and was playing about as well as he can, which is pretty good.

Hardly anyone was at Bjorn Phau vs Jeff Morrison because they moved it out to Court 4 while everyone was herding into Ashe for Agassi. Phau is a very neat player, small of stature but tough. He won in straight sets.
