Pless but no Carlsen  I guess all the Americans think they will lose early at the USO. Davy is trying hard not to qualify for TMC.

thanks! with the rankings listed, it's much clearer why the entries seem a bit odd. it's like a sub-50's tourney with a few odd top players thrown in. but i suppose it's the best it can do with a date directly after the last grand slam, and also located somewhat out of the way!

well yeah, it was 'who' but now he has a name. thanks!!!! i had a feeling that i should have remembered who he was, but i didn't. i have this feeling that a certain poster named kat would be laughing at me if she saw this...

i remember very well when the pic was taken though... i was there to watch 'who' playing this qualie match in melbourne, so that i could sit close to jc (ferrero) and ask him for an autograph. he was very cool though in his response lol

no i couldn't ask for his autograph cos he didn't have a spare hand... he was on the court playing lol i left after watching for a while. i was busily doing the rounds, and melbourne park was (and still is) very very large :)

autographs generally are very illegible... unless you get to ask arnaud clement ;) so if i remember i write down the real name beside the squiggle right away.

JC's coach is hot!!!!!
and i saw someone who was with Rafa in shanghai last year, i didn't know who he was, but he looked really sweet. he looked like Richie, i tried to ask him, but he didn't say a word, he said he didn't know English, i tried Chinese, he said he didn't know Chinese either, then i gave it up, i thought the guy didn't like me.
But i have to say that he is really hot!

Yes, i did :p
I said English first, but he was confused, so i thought the guy couldn't understand English, so maybe he was a student of Chinese, who knows?! so i tried, and then i got the answer, :haha: He was just a member of spanish speaker.

Thanks, but in fact i am not a brave, i am just not shy. :p it is easy for you to have talk with a player in a small tournament, so that's one of the reasons why i don't like TMC. i hope my Heineken Open could be back.

yes, Nadal has withdrawn
he has some problems in his ankle and want to be ready to play Davis Cup, so no Pekin this year!

Davydenko will surely withdraw. He'll never be able to make the transition so quickly.

Nadal is IN :o

From his website:

RAFA TO MISS CHINA OPEN || September 08

Rafa will be unable to defend his title at the China Open in Beijing next week. Rafa was due to play the tournament, which begins on Monday, but unfortunately he suffered an injury during the US Open which will prevent him from competing. In his fourth round match against Jiri Novak in New York, Rafa twisted his right ankle a little and despite being able to play his quarter final, Rafa has decided it is best to rest the injury and see if he will be fit to play for Spain in the Davis Cup.

The China Open was Rafa's tenth title of last season, he beat Coria in the final and obviously he is disappointed to miss the tournament. Rafa will be hoping that his ankle will recover in time to help Spain in their important Davis Cup tie against Italy, a World Group play off match which will take place in Santander the weekend of the 22nd-24th September.

But if Nadal says on his official website that he is out, it's because he is really out.

He simply isn't officialy out, because he still didn't inform the ATP that he is injured.
