This is the original interview where he proclaimed "I want to be #1" . A lot of hoopla about that but the interview is otherwise pretty interesting and revealng. It's in dutch but I use babelfish

http://www.sportweek.nl/detail.asp?groupid=3&newsid=15551

Are you here in amersfoort to win?
It's correct. I am born to win. I accept no loss. I have to also win here. That sounds confident, but that's how I am. Negative thinking bring you nowhere, positive thinking does however.

What is your sports background?
I come from a top sport family. My father, uncle and aunt were all pro skiers and my father was also a good footballer. He knew already rapidly that I would become a top athlete, only not yet in which branch of sport. I did little bit of everything. A large part of my youth was spent in the Serbian mountins, in Kopaonik. Still I go there gladly because of splendid nature. My father manages a restaurant there for 20 years .

Secret of my success sits in the pizzas of my father.
And in its pan wafers. According to there is nowhere in the region better pizzas and pan wafers then at my father

it is the best of complete Serbia. No, the bests of the world! I can know it what I a lot has already tested occasions visited and. Try it itself. The name of the restaurant is save Bull.

You career is going fast?
That is possible , however I am perhaps confident, but that does not mean that I am top but just just thinking of surging to the top inch by inch. Well, I have gone rapidly ahead for nineteen-year-old, especially for someone from Serbia. In my country such not yet a large tennis tradition does not exist, like in Croatia. To break through for me has succeeded. That's a step .

With Monfils, Gasquet, Nadal, Murray and I stands a generation of tennis players who are far from insipid.
Each afore mentioned player shows temperament on the job. We do attractive things for the fans. That I find positive for the sport. Tennis is still a quiet, calm, English sport where you hear play in the quiet like at Wimbledon. It's time that things change. That is to the new generation of tennis players

In three years time stand all members of our Ratpack in the top ten?

Ratpack I find is a very well group name, Like frank Sinatra and his friends. Nadal is already topten, Gasquet returns and Monfils, Murray and I have the qualities to reach the topten If we remain focused.

You become soon briton, the nationality of your friend Andy Murray?
I have also heard that, yes. The English press has made that . I have had it with Andy, which are correct. But it's a joke, but was not serious. Not the English association as a matter of fact, they were very serious. Ah, there is so much called which is not true

Your aim is to become the number one of the world?
That aim I had all life long. At seven years old, my then coach Jelena Gencic who also worked with Monica Seles -
had me learn to think like a winner. It's all about the mind.

I will probably fix it to be more legible when I have more time

She probably knew you were going to break up with her so she just did it so that she could say that she was the one who did it.

Yeah I'm sure it's his big, thick, juicy.... eyes.... that you like :p

I don't think Serb-American relations need improving. Despite the fact that we bombed them , the Serbs on these boards seem to like Americans more than any of the other European groups

I love Serbs :hearts:

Let's ask Scott--

Scott,

If someone is a Yankee fan, and doesn't live in Manhattan, is that person an evil Fascist?

I don't think Serb-American relations need improving.

Relations could always use improving.

I'm fascinated with Serbia as well. I've been studying up on the history, but I'm not yet an expert. I do know who Karadjordjevic was. that's a start.

The Yankees play in the Bronx silly. The Bronx does not = Manhattan :p

And who should a New Jerseyan cheer for? Hmm? Geographically I can get to Yankee Stadium quicker than Shea or wherever the hell the Phillies play (sorry Scott).
