Oh, Juan Carlos Ferrero will be shown first on dear Channel 7, followed by Kim and then Lleyton (this being the Rod Laver Arena schedule)...I'm pretty sure sometime Todd Reid and Wayne Arthurs (both Australians) will be covered also. ARGHHHHHHHH.

True, one good thing about Hewitt is you can always rely on him to have a fighting mentality, like when he was down 0-40 in a game and then won consecutive points to win the game, then that annoyed his opponent, and he took out the next four games or the sorts.

Without that fighting spirit Hewitt is pretty much medicore.
I wish certain other players (ahemahem) had his mentality sometimes. He uses frustration to a good point on most days.

Yeah, because of that I can see why a lot of players don't care for their nicknames. I mean Federer must think that while seemingly impressive, "Federer Express" also implies that he's a hulking piece of metal that makes a hell of a racket and never turns up at the station on time while carrying a lot of dead weight - maybe this is true in some senses...

Yes, that sounds a little strange... almost as strange as timing one of Conchita Martinez's powderpuff slice deliveries at 140mph, which I believe happened a few years ago at an American tournament.

Canas does indeed play like Hewitt, but if anything with greater speed and more intensity... that match they had at RG 2002 was terrific, it took them nearly three hours to split the first two sets, Canas won a 15-13 second set tiebreak saving about six setpoints, and eventually he wore Hewitt's resolve down from the baseline.

What's this about public urination?

It's a long story, but basically someone was doing a tournament report from Miami last year and said they saw Martin on a practice court urinating into a bottle and throwing it in a trash can. That's stuck in my memory ever since, and I'm particularly glad he's not playing Ferrero in the next round after the one-sided thrashing that was their Monte Carlo QF last year. Ferrero won the first ten games in about 40 minutes.
