They say - probably about an hour's play from 12.30pm onwards.................then another heavy band of rain expected for most of the afternoon, with a drier spell of a couple of hours in the early evening. I live nearby - and it's actually stil raining where I live though seems to have stopped over SW19 according to the TV. I think even when they do play, conditions will be heavy and unpleasant. It is certainly quite chilly here.

Thanks for clearing things up. Ahh I don't think we'll see anymore tennis today. By the time the rain stops it'll probably be too dark to resume, or it'll rain again. I'm off to watch the World Cup.

I am almost sure today it's finished for tennis. Weather looks awfull and I think we will have the same Wimbledon as every year, rainy and with Fed-ex winner at the end. I really don't know why his opponents bother to come here and to get wet...

Referee Andrew Jarrett announced there would be no play before 1730 BST, but he was hopeful of a resumption in the early evening.

That's at least another one hour with no tennis folks
