Expected result if a player like Gasquet faces a grinder like Simon on grass

Looks like Richard played well, attacking more as well as playing the big points better. Good win and nice scoreline! Congrats, Richard! It looks like a real possibility to defend his title there.

Good luck in the SF! It'll be a tough match whoever he faces!

Richard's playing better than in recent months, however, his tennis, still looks awkward on grass. Backand workes properly, and there was no sign of the elbow injury he struggled with lately.

Does he play standing on his head or something?

Not exactly, he's trying to get every ball back and waits for errors to come. That's not an impressive tactic for a grasscourt play, especially when the opponent hardly comes in. Gasquet played well, but not as agressive as he used to in the past.

well, against Federer last week(so not a long time ago),he was playing agressively, believe me!
i didn t see the match against Simon but i guess that with Simon doing many UEs,he probably felt that he didn t need to take too many risks today......even though i disagree with this passive attitude

Didn't watch that one, but sure he didn't have the choice, if he dreamt about beating Roger.

It did look ridiculous, believe me, though it was effective:p
