who is your Wimbledon dark horse??? & your longshot

Who are the players that you think can make some noise, although their ranking would suggest otherwise?? The rules are: that your darkhorse should not be in the top 30 or so :)

& then pick a longshot...someone who would be given literally no chance by the betting odds to make a run but u have a gut feeling about making a run to the title.
Mine are:
Murray- no. 45- playing in front of home crowd & is good on grass.

Lopez- no. 49. for a Spaniard he is pretty darn good on the grass, tough serve especially.

Karlovic- no. 58 well u know... :)

Fish- no. 86 did he get in directly? b/c I don't know when the cutoff date was & he was alot lower early in the season due to injury.

Safin no. 87 ridiculous to call a former #1 a darkhorse, but the ranking says it all...usually appears frustated on the grass, but he is capable of playing top 10 tennis on any surface if he brings his head with him...

My longshot is Richard Gasquet, no. 66. his results have been pure crap as of late, but he is one person outside of the top 50 that I could envision making a run to the title if that was possible... :)

Karlovic can beat anyone and lose to anyone. It is more or less chance with him you know. Win a breaker, lose a breaker, win a breaker, win a breaker and he's through but lose a couple of points here and there in the tiebreak and he's out. I love the huge croat he's one of my favourite players but no point denying his shortcomings.

Darkhorse- James Blake (yeah he's top 5 material, but as long as Federer's around, even #2 is a darkhorse)

Longshot- Andre Agassi (coming back for one last hurray, he's motivated and loves grass....he could shake things up a bit with a good draw)

I was going to pick Tommy Haas as my dark horse, but since he's crept up to 24, I'll go with Paul-Henri Mathieu.

As for the long-shot, I'm torn between the talented but unpredictable Marat Safin and the surpisingly good on grass but prone to sucking Feliciano Lopez.

My dark horse is black beauty.

Seriously, I reckon PHM may do some damage.

Henman is at least a drark horse. He played well in Queen's and almost made the final.

The top 32 seeds will not want to play Richard Gasquet or Tim Henman. In fact there a number of players in the top 32 who I believe could not beat either of these players.

Dark horse: Rafael Nadal. I know he's ranked #2 but he hasn't had great grass results in the past. He played pretty well at Queens. He doesn't have any epectations of doing well but you can never count him out. I would love to see a Nadal-Federer final.

Long shot: Feliciano Lopez. He did well at Wimbledon last year. This year he has had awful results on all surfaces. But I am hoping he can get it together by Wimbledon. He just won his match today so I am feeling optimistic again. :)

These would also be my picks. I would like to see them all do well. I would really love to see Tim make it to the finals this year.
