 Don't worry about it. All you have to do is PM a Moderator and tell them this Forum has a double thread about Wimbledon then the Moderate can either delete your thread or just combine it with mine. No problem ;)
This happens all the time so the Moderates are used to it :D In fact I would ask them myself, but it has happened to me so often I'm the one that hates to asks :o
 Allez to Fabrice

Congrats to Fab on his win :) He defeated Arthurs 7-6, 3-6, 6-3, and 6-1.
I just hope that having to have played 4 Sets won't hurt Fab in his next Round Match.

I just hope that having to have played 4 Sets won't hurt Fab in his next Round Match.

I don´t think so... It´s normal that he plays long matches :)

Unfortunately I made no off court pictures but I will post the others soon.

What about Roland Garros? Do you want to make a blog? I want to know everything about beeing there...

Playing against Arthurs should be a walk in the park physically. He's got one of the most serve-oriented games around and not much else to back it up. Short rallies and loads of UE & FE.

Next: Berdych

Say your prayers, bird-boy

Very tight match between Fab and Berdych, with many breaks : the score is 4-6 7-6(6) 6-2 6-7(5) for Fab and the play is suspended for darkness. Unfortunately, Fab missed 2 MP (he served for the set)

Fab lost 6-4 in the last set :sobbing:

in l'equipe today :
Tomas loses my support

I can't believe what happened during the Santoro/Berdych match.
I'm so sad Fabrice finally lost this match, he deserved to win, that's so unfair! I think he'd have won without this long time out before he served for the match. :fiery:

Tomas behaved like an ass during this match and showed no respect. I'm really disappointed by his behaviour. I used to like him but now, I don't know what to think...

in english by the International Herald Tribune :
The most contentious match was unquestionably Tomas Berdych's five-set victory over French veteran Fabrice Santoro. The match, played over two days in the Wimbledon wilds of Court 13, was punctuated with verbal sniping and with Berdych's frequent complaints to the chair umpire. On Wednesday, after he fell behind in the early going, Berdych also mimicked Santoro's unconventional two-handed groundstrokes.

With night falling and Santoro about to serve for the match at 5-4, Berdych called an injury time out, citing a knee problem. Santoro, a 33-year-old who has seen plenty in his long career, was not amused by having to take a break at such a crucial stage of the match, and he was even less amused after Berdych eventually saved a match point and evened the match at two sets apiece before play was halted because of darkness.

On Thursday, the temperamental Czech youngster closed out his 6-4, 6-7 (6-8), 2-6, 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 victory and then had to make do without the traditional handshake, which Santoro refused. Berdych tried again later and got the same response, and he will now face No. 19 seed Tommy Haas of Germany, with the winner likely to face three-time defending champion Roger Federer in the fourth round.

But if they won´t reach the final I won´t be sad because then I will go to the german Bundesliga next sunday and see him play. He told me he will play there!

I agree Choupi. It was great for Fab and Nenad to be in a Wimbledon Final :) And after all the Bryans are a great doubles team so it is no shame to lose to them. I don't know if they are still the #1 Doubles team, but they have been. And if they weren't before Wimbledon they probably are again now. And being from the U.S. I have to be kind of happy for the Bryans because Wimbledon was the only Doubles Slam they didn't have :D

I couldn't find any interview on the Wimbledon website, so here is a little article about him in French with a few quotes.
He says the Bryans are the best team in the world and they were better in general yesterday. But it will remain an unbelievable experience for him, it was so moving to play on the Center Court for the first time in his career. The corridor which leads to the court is so full of memories, with all the trophies and the pics.
And then a lot of stuff about Amélie since it's a French website. ;) He says he could meet her before entering the court and congratulate her. It was very exciting to follow her match from the locker room, she definitely deserved this victory. He has some very nice words about her career and her work, says she's a great girl, very generous, who has much love to give to the people and needs to get much love in return, etc. (I know the stuff about Amélie is not so interesting for you, but it really sounds very warm, it's nice to read.

And in L'Équipe:
He mentions again that corridor before entering the court and how moving it was for him. "It's very classy, kingly". He says the Center Court is smaller than in Paris or NY, but the moment of the trophy presentation in the royal loge is unforgettable.
