Their fourth team title this season :)
Great week for them, wins over Bryans AND Bjorkirnyi! :)
I don't think they get to #3 in the Race, but it's closing the gap between them and Nestor/Knowles.
And Bjorkirnyi is still #1 in the Race, overtaking the Bryans :)

BTW,.Hanley is becoming a great doubles player!
In 2005 he won 5-titles & in 2006 he`s already won 5-titles again [4-with Ullyett]. That brings Hanley`s total title haul to 18... He`s a late bloomer!

Too bad for Mirnyi....I hope this wont affect his confidence in Wimbledon, everyone wants to see B/M taking on the twins in London.:).

It was an excellent doubles final. Paul Hanley set the tone of the match by playing some blistering tennis in the opening game to break serve. They went up a double break in the first set and to take a 4-0 lead and although Jonas and Max managed to get one of the breaks back the damage was done. Jonas and Max regained the momentum in the second set and it seemed that they were on course for victory in the champions tie break. Both teams found it difficult to hold serve in the champions tie break but when Jonas and Max broke to lead 6-5,they looked on course for victory This wasn't to be...mainly due to the inspired play of Paul Hanley who helped Kevin through some sticky moments. The match ended when Max double faulted when they were match point down.
A large proportion of the crowd remained behind to watch the doubles final and the atmosphere was animated. Paul Hanley was the man of the match and what particularly stands out in my mind was an absolutely PHENOMENAL kick serve from him into the ad court mid way through the first set.
I see great things for this new team who will be difficult to beat at Wimbledon. Their confidence is running high. My good wishes however go to Bjorkman and Mirnyi who I would love to win Wimby.
