...literally! One hugely funny game...

Hits the turf twice @ 15/30 and does a couple of brilliant Becker-style rolls.
Gets the worst bounce possible and doesn't even touch the ball @ 15/40...all to get broken for 2/3* in 2nd set :haha: :haha:

Blake played incredble stuff today...really took Roddick's serve on and pummelled it. I can't say Roddick played badly...he was completely outclassed.

Blake wins 7/5 6/4

He is definitely favourite to win the title tomorrow I feel.

What kind of shot has Blake played here? Looks weird.

Blake played extremely well, its not that roddick was bad he was just playing a player that was better than him and read him like a book.

It's a very extreme grip...putting a hell of a lot of top on it.

Michael Stich did commentary on The Tennis Channel and bitched (with reason) that Roddick wasn't doing enough to place his serve better. Blake was reading it so well because Roddick for the most part kept hitting it to the same place in Blake's forehand strike zone. But great match overall. When Andy got broken in the first game you just knew James would be able to pull it out.

I'm hoping James gives Lleyton a beatdown tomorrow. Can't stand Hewitt.

Let's face it. Andy has never been very bright on court in planning strategy. James Blake, like Federer, certainly is and he read him like a book today. Blake's problem in the past has been choking whenever Andy has been around. Today's win should help him over that.
