Roger and Rafa both spent????

they look spent

Roger nearly loses twice to Gasquet and Oli, prolly feeling 50-60% at the moment

Nadal loses to Hewitt after having shoulder problems/injury

both look worse for wear and should have rested before wimbly

esepcially after long clay court season..can drain one mentally /physically

Hope some of the other good players can capitalise. Problem is a lot of players have been experiencing injury lately: Ancic (French open, cramping, vomiting), Djoko (back), DavyD(back), Nalby (stomach again), Safin(still has his knee problems) , Hewitt (injured some way or another) , Roddick (ankle) so who the heck can challenge if everybody's down???? Who's fit? I think Blake or Ancic has a chance..but Roddick is playing OK now

Djokovic should be fine to play at s'Hertogenbosch as far as anyone knows. He has third round points to defend at Wimbledon, so I hope he can get a match or two in on grass first.

what's wrong is that grass tune-up tournament the following week after 2 weeks of taxing clay grand slam. you'd think the ATP will take notice of all the injuries affecting most of the top players by now...

You can never know especially with these 2 guys. One day they look spent
and the next they can have a very good match.Just hope Nadal's injury is not serious!

Safin has said on numerous occasions that his knee is just fine now. If he doesn't take advantage of the situation is not because his knee is giving him problems. It's because his mind is giving him problems.

well we all knew Saf was questionable mentally, his movement has always been questionable as well as he is big and tends to lumber around the court...his feet never in position for his FH hence he spills all the UEs

You cant have all the players playing well at the same time. They both just got to the fo finals and mentally, thats tiring. Its like the end of a school year when u just stop caring..

It's understandble that Roger and Rafa are worn out they've recently gotten to a lot of finals, remember? Roger's been in the finals of RG, Rome, MC, Miami, IW and AO.

There's only a week from the final of RG to the beginning of Halle. No wonder most other years Roger prefers to skip Rome.

He didn't look spent. But I wouldn't have expected him to beat Hewitt on grass any way shoulder or not. Everything changes on grass. Nadal can't move as well.

Yeah, I think Roger in particular should have skipped the Wimbledon warm-up events and just practice a bit before Wimbledon. He's good enough on grass to afford it. He risks injury, burnout and losing his streak by playing Halle.
