It's Dima vs Tim (again!!) Who will win?

06-15-2006, 02:09 PM
Dima has a 3-0 head to head (all in grand slams over the past 12 months). Now they meet again at the Queen's QF.

If Tim serves as well as he has been, he has his best chance against Dima.

06-15-2006, 02:39 PM
Go Dima!!!!

06-15-2006, 02:39 PM
Dima will prevail once again!

0-3...It's time to take a win, Tim! :help:

06-15-2006, 03:58 PM
Get him again, Dmitry.

If Henman can't win this one, he might as well retire!!! :fiery: :fiery: :fiery:

06-15-2006, 04:38 PM
I want to see Henman doing well, but I also want to see Tursunov winning this match and going far in this tournament. I think Dima will win, then. :p

06-15-2006, 04:48 PM
Dima :ras:
Comon Tim!!! :bigclap:

great, another match to watch with Dima hammering groundies left to right and henman running them down and chipping them back trying to keep up :o

on the plus side, a good week for Henman with good wins and some much needed points.

My thoughts exactly.

I like both players loads, but I’m gonna have to root for Tim. I want him to take the title. :) It sounds like Tim has been in great form…so maybe this isn’t a pipe dream.

Regardless of who wins this, a semis between Tim/Hewitt or Dima/Hewitt should be great fun. (I am pretty sure that Lleyton will beat Nadal tomorrow.)

I don't know who'll win this match, but I've given up hope that there will ever again be a blog as lively as Dima's.

06-15-2006, 06:09 PM
I think Dima will win but Timbo needs this one badly. C'mon Tim :fiery: sorry Dima

06-15-2006, 06:35 PM
I hope Dima but i have a bad feeling about this one... :help:

06-15-2006, 06:59 PM
Timmy

I think Dima will pull through on this one. :)

06-15-2006, 08:13 PM
Love ya timmy but its GOTTA BE MA DIMA!!!! VAMOS DIMAAAAAA!!

06-15-2006, 08:23 PM
Wang is a tough customer, you know those Orientals will go down swinging so a 6-1 victory in tri is impressive for Dima.

I gotta give the edge to him in three, but Henman could easily win in two.

06-15-2006, 08:29 PM
I think Tim'll get him on grass cos Tim loves this surface and he'll be able to break him. I hope he can anyway :) Go Tim :)

06-15-2006, 08:40 PM
Dima will be too strong for Tim.

06-15-2006, 10:12 PM
I'm a fan of both players, Henman has been playing well this week :)
Not seen any of Dima's matches.
Henman to win in 3 sets ;)

I don't know what it is, but Dima is just a bad matchup for Tim - he has a game that Tim struggles against, and Dima likes Tim giving him a target and likes to thump his groundies and run Tim side to side.

He's just looked that bit too strong each time they've played. Tim has a chance but he'll have to play extremely well. I think Dima will do it.

Dima without even having to think about it!!

06-15-2006, 10:26 PM
why? :o Dima's top10-top15 on grass

Sorry. Didn't mean to imply that I think Dima's a bad player, which he is not, of course.
I'm just sick and tired of seeing Henman losing to him on every single surface.

Come on Tim!!! :yeah:

He has a chance, more so than the last outings.

If the same match-up had been based on form 3 months ago I would've said Tursunov without hesitation.
