I wont be shocked if Andy took it this year, Roger invested too much energy on clay this year. Anyway, good luck to both :yeah:

I hope andy gets to the final but that 10-1 head to head...EEK! Andy needs to find a way to beat him. Good luck to both! I want one of them to take the title.

ANDY DOESNT SUCK!

I'd obviously like to see Andy find a way to beat Fed in a wimbly final...it would do so much for him and i don't think its really impossible.

...while it would hurt Roger im sure, I just think he could learn to become a better fighter, cause he never really has/had to, a couple of big losses could make him an even better player.

you learn more from the loss than the win...this is my hope for Andrew & Roger too, maybe they could both get something out of it because another loss will just not do...on Andy's part ;)

I REALLY want Andy to win, and to be honest - I'd be somewhat disappointed if he didn't beat Federer en route to the title, because winning something like Wimbledon means winning against the best there is out there, and that is Roger. I also have a wee little feeling that Andy would have an ounce of disappointment if he didn't beat Roger as well.

I really think that Andy can be Roger, and I would love to see that happen this year!!

the thread starter didnt say roddick beating fed to win wimbledon...

so he/she thinks somone else will eliminate fed before roddick has to meet him

I never said they said that, however in MY opinion, the title may feel a little... incomplete (for want of a better word) if Andy was to win without taking Roger out in the process. Simply because when winning, you want to beat the best because it makes victory that much sweeter.

As much as I love Andy, the fact he's struggling bigtime against Dancevic at Queens makes the thread started look rather silly

Hm yeah. I'm going to give him a set to warm-up though, he hasn't played a match for like 3 weeks and it'll take him a little time to get back into the match playing ways.

What's he doing wrong? UE's or what? I'm not watching it :(

I'm at work, but I hear his backhand is blowing even more than usual :(

And his returning was dreadful in the 1st set, looks like it's picked up in the 2nd though :D

I hope someone other than Federer win because Roger won too much. I like Roger's game but I don't like to watch matches predictable.

I wouldnt mind it if he did. He has been unlucky running in to Fed. Just like Goran was unlucky running into Pete. And Goran eventually got what was coming to him.

He won't win. He has only serve nothing more

Allez

Could people stop saying Federer can't lose on grass ?? Of course he can lose. Each match is different. He can lose any day to any player. All he can do is try his best and if it's enough then he wins. If not he loses. There is no law which says "Federer will never lose on grass". The people saying he will never lose are the same ones who want to laugh their asses off when he does.

As for Andy...Mmmh, Having watched his awful display against Blake yesterday I have my doubts whether he can take advantage of Rogi's slight dip in form on grass (as seen @ Halle) this year. Even if Rogi were to lose before the final, Andy would still struggle though he perhaps would still remain the favourite based on his past performances. If he meets Ancic, then he's in serious trouble that's for sure. :D

ufokart
06-18-2006, 06:26 AM
He has the potential to win it, but looking at his present form i seriously doubt it.

But i think he deserves it, he's been 2 straight years in the final.

Allez

I think one day he'll pull a Goran and win when least expected to. But he's only 23. Plenty of time to win multiple Wimbledons.
