I'm quite interested...was either player a break up before 5/5 in the 2nd set?

I think Robby stands a decent chance in R3 against whichever player...Murray is shocking  and Tipsy is nothing special on grass

Lol, you don't like Ginepri do you? :pI'm pretty indifferent to him. I am a patriotic person so I don't root against too many Americans. But I happen to really like Paul and was hoping he would pull this one out. Goldie is one of my homeJews :p

you mean R2? Let's not even assume he'll get to Round 3 yet... Robby hasn't won back-to-back singles matches since October of last year... :tape: It would be amazing if he broke out of that spell in London, but I don't see that happening whether he plays Tipsy or Murray... Waiting in Round 3 is James Blake, btw... :)

As insignificant as this is right now, I will say it while I still can  :o ... In Robby's most recent matches against Mardy Fish, James Blake, Andy Roddick, Taylor Dent, and Paul Goldstein, he has beaten all of them!... :tape: :help:

Good luck in the next round, Robby!! :D

No, was on serve all the 2nd set until the break. I was at Queens today. Ginepri started poorly and Goldstein was playing some nice strokes. Ginepri just turned it only towards the end of the 2nd set and it was one way traffic from there.

what were the emotions out there? did you sense any in particular, or was it all "business" looking?

Why do two Americans have to play each other in the 1st Round of a Tournament

:haha: :haha: That does sound ominous. :scared:

I don't think Robby has too much to worry about...Murray can't serve for a deep-fried mars bar right now and Tipsy isn't that much of a danger on faster surfaces ;)

...and we're talking about someone who's found a way to lose to just about anyone this year... but I guess that doesn't carry any weight... :tape:

You need to check Murray's form since Memphis...some impressive losses in there that even Ginepri would struggle to match :haha:

But to be serious...Murray would win against him on a good day fairly comfortably. But the way he is playing right now...I don't have a lot of confidence. As it is, Tipsy can still come back and sting him.

Rest assured, you'll have an American guy through in that little section I'm sure....maybe Robby, as incredibly as it sounds :spit:

Robby seemed frustrated until the end of the 2nd set but didnt really look that concerned, as if he was thinking oh well just another loss. When Robby raised his game in the 3rd Goldstein got annoyed and threw his racket at one stage. Nothing to bad though, friendly hand shake at the end

Think it's just a case of Ginepri getting some consistancy, and he will be back in form in time for the US hard court season.
