now i feel rafa will win.. hope i wont be wrong.

What do people think about games over 41 games? Last two on clay have made this and i expect this to be a close final as well

good odds for this as well

Taking Fed @ 1.31 and the over 41.5 games, I can't see either player blowing the other out in less than 4 sets, and the sets should be close ones.

eh? 1.31? Which ever bookmaker u r with, u r getting ripped off. Unless u mean 2.31 since I can see fed at 2.20?

Im on the over 41.5 games @ 1.80

And total sets over 4.5 @ 2.90

Good luck. Should be a great game

LOL, oops, should be 2.31, or +131 in the American system...

I'm familiar with the American system of odds.

I understand that 2.31 in the European system represents the 100 bet plus the profit, so this is +131 American odds.

Ays25 - "nadal to win @ 1.72"

But what American odds does the above 1.72 represent?
I realize that Nadal is the favorite, so in American odds this is -, but don't know how to convert it.
(Is this -128?).

I suppose that 2.00 is Even in American odds (also stated as +100).

I played - in American odds - Nadal to win at -125 and -135.

2 is the base for the European system, so anything under two you could convert to the American system by taking the the decimal numbers in the line (lets say 1.72 is the line, take 0.72) and divide 100 by that number. So 100/0.72=139, then just shove a - sign in front of it.

I have decided to show my face after my Benneteau wiseacreness.

After that shame, I switched to the World Cup last week and had a nice treble on Ecuador, England and Germany come off.

Now I'm switching back to tennis and there are two factors I am trying to balance out in my head.

The first is the fact that I saw an interview in which Federer said to Michael Johnson that he is not sure if his desire to win matches and the pleasure he gets from winning are at the same levels as they were when he was first making his name in the tennis world. These comments are interesting because they were made less than three weeks ago after he won the Laureus sports award for the second year in a row.

The ease with which Nalbandian took a set off Federer was scary. I know it is a foolish person who underestimates Federer, but nevertheless his performance was lacking. Also we must not forget that Hartfield at times looked like he could create a shock, whereas Nadal has been comfortable even in the Mathieu and Hewitt matches.

The second factor I'm struggling with is the criticism Ljubicic handed out towards Nadal after their encounter, regarding the amount of time he takes between points. Nadal is still a young lad, and although he appeared to take the comments in his stride, I am wondering if they will affect him.

I am considering going for Nadal to win 3-0 and 3-1. The kid is something special, and I can see him winning the first set today.

On clay, Nadal has taken 9 sets off of Federer compared to 4 for the swiss. I think that is pretty emphatic. We all saw yesterday how even though Kuznetsova was capable of pushing Henin, she didn't actually break her down. I can see the same thing happening today. I think Nadal is peaking, whereas Federer is to be questioned.

I have a feeling Roger Federer will not win wimbledon this year.

i liked the bet total sets over 4.5 @ 2.90 the minute i saw it at bet365

but dont have enough balls to try that after all the loses in baseball.

anyways GOOD LUCK with ur bets!!

and imo federer should win tomorrow.....because i think he is very motivated to win this after all those close loses to nadal in the previous finals...not that nadal wont be motivated but just have a feeling that federer should triumph at RG

Thanks RB

back it like a house on fire

if u want to hedge it, take total games to be 4 sets at 2.30. I cant see either one winning in straight 3-0.

I think the game can go either way, so didnt have enuf balls to put on nadal or fed ex. Nadal is dominant of clay, as we know, and he can even call fed-ex his biatch :dog: especially the last 2 times they met. But fed-ex has dominated grand slams. All i know is one of these records is going down

Personally, i dont want to see roger :sobbing: like a girl when he wins, so id rather see rafa take it out :armed:

Federer will win. I am a fan of both players but I think Roger will take this one.

I have had a great RG with some of my best profits and this will cap it off.

I have bet on Rafa in the last two meetings at Rome and Monte Carlo. But I really think that Roger will take this.

He has been getting closer and closer each time they have played: he has figured out how to play Rafa now.
I have watched ALL of their matches at RG and Rafa does not look as good as he can play. Roger has looked better I feel.

Rafa has the better h2h with 5-1. But you must remember some other players "owned" Roger before he figured out how to play them e.g. Hewitt, Nalbandian, Henman. But now he beats them no problems.

Federer over Nadal @2.38 (Betfair)

Also, 3-1 Federer at @6.0 small stake

I wasn't brave enough to bet on the match in the end. I just backed Federer at 1.5 which I think is pretty good odds considering he's a set up and Nadal is playing nervously. If Federer wins the 2nd set it is surely over.

I knew this price was a gift when I first saw it :worship:

I dont care who is on the other side of the net, you just dont bet against someone who had won 59 straight clay matches

Well done Rafa and Rafa backers

Totally wrong my picks but Federer just didn't turn up. It was all Rafa and so many errors from Roger - his backhand was POOR to say the least and looked fragile throughout the match!

Yuk! Changing your mind and then losing is one of the worst feelings around!

I wish I had stuck with Rafa, but Federer was a huge disappointment today. To win the first set and then self-destruct and allow Nadal back in so easily was a surprise. I think today marks a shift in the balance of power in men's tennis. I really have a feeling that Federer will not win Wimbledon now.

Congrats to Nadal backers !!!
