This year even the seasonal dirtballers didn't enjoy it so it seems.

There are also some clay courts next to my house - they will host a number of matches during the rest of the year (I will inform you if someone manages to get the first serve in)

I'm already depressed that tomorrow is the final day of Roland Garros. It takes me a few days to get my head around the speed of grass at Queens and Halle. Clay court tennis is for the real connaisseur and comes a close second to hard court tennis in my order of preference in relation to court surfaces. I go to the French Open and Wimbledon every year and prefer RG every time. Can't wait for Eurosport's coverage of Gstaad. My favourite televised tournament of the Summer is Stuttgart. I really want to go to that tournament. Have any of you been there? I wouldn't say that grass is for cows as I really love grass court tennis too. I just love clay more.

Gstaad is passe man. Stuttgart is worth going to and check the Tournament Thread where it says upcoming tournaments and click on Mercedes Open and there are quite a few people from MTF going.

Even cows have standards

:woohoo: finally, sorry never was a fan of clay only Guga I would watch :hearts:
The only reason I really followed this year is because I hope Roger can get all the 4 majors but not really my cup of tea since Guga left

yes, 3 times: 2002, 2003 and 2004...it's a nice tournament if the weather behaves

clay season is far from over...as ppl here have already said, there are clay tournaments right up to September with Bucharest and Palermo

and for those that are interested, though sadly i know most ppl aren't...there are lots of cool clay challengers to follow

Couldn't have said it better :worship:

Clay season is very far from being finished, and even Roland-Garros isn't finished! The most important match is yet to come, the match that will hopefully lead to the most important achievement in men's tennis since decades: the Roger slam :D
