Fed- how many more years of domination?

He's 24 now, Nadal is 20.

When Fed is 26, Nadal will be 22. I'm sure Fed will be fantastic still at 26.

But when Fed is 28, when most tennis players go 'off' Nadal will be Fed's age 24.

For me personally i don't think Age will make any difference to Fed. Sampras was old and he never lost many matches.

But when Fed is 29-30, and Nadal 25-26, i think Nadal will be world no.1, as that age gap is more pronounced? Unless a Richard Gasquet or some other good talent comes good (i doubt it very much!!)

Imopssible to tell. He's got the talent to dominate for many years, but it's really all about motivation. Can he keep up the total dedication to the game or not. At the top of the game it's nuances like this that make the difference. Sampras maintained the intensity for most of his career - others to numerous to mention, did not.

As for Nadal, I think it's way premature to talk about where he will be when he's 26 years old. It is well-known that grinders often wear themselves out. They, more than anyone else, need to maintain a total dedication to the game and to staying physically and mentally finetuned. It's not easy to play with the intensity of Nadal year in and year out.
