I still would. I'll like to know who'll win his first GS. That may just be a major turning point in that guy's career.

Nope. Maybe just check the scores a couple of times but not the -nail biting ,glued to the televison,hand half in the popcorn bowl and other on the remote- kind of thing. Just out of love for the game would have flippde through but efinately not for the love of the players. No offence ivan n nalby

Yes of course, not just because I'm Argentine but because it would have meant that Ljubicic had beaten the best clay court player, Nadal, and Nalbandian had beaten no. 1. They can't win against those two if they werent playing well.

I would have skimmed through my TVO version of it. If it turned out to be a great match, then I would have watch the entire TVO. Either way, it would have been a TVO

Sadly, no. I'm visiting my mom in tampa, florida this weekend and if it was Ivan v. David, I would be heading to the beach or brunch instead of watching the match on Sunday.

Now, Nadal vs. Nalbandian? No way I would have missed that. Fedal? I'm going to try to get my siblings to take mom out without me so I can focus 100% on the match.

On paper I'm sure it would look like a disappointing final to many, but if you tuned in to watch it you might believe otherwise: it is always exciting to see which player will win his first slam title.

Yeah, but I really wanted to see a Nalbandian-Nadal final. David had a lot of chances to win that match and that final could've been possible. Very disappointing.

Personally - I would have cared more :) I am sooooo bored :yawn: with Nadal/Federer all the time, so the World Cup will probably take precedence over tennis on Sunday. I just want some different people in a Final! And as tangerine_dream says - if it's going to be someone's frst ever GS there is always an added excitement.

I would have been very excited. I am really hoping that David takes a GS title soon so I would have been very interested in it. Plus, as Tangy noted- both finalists would have been first time slam winners no matter what the outcome and that can be fun to see.

I believe Mexico is playing on Sunday, so I may have had WC on one tv and tennis on the other.

Truth be told- I am so nervous about this Sunday's final because I want both players to win that I am thinking of going out to watch WC with hubs and friends while Tivoing the RG final and watching the final later after I know the result. Wimpy- I know, but I can sometimes get sick to my stomach and shakey when watching a sports event that I have very high emotions about so I may just go out and not puke.

I will be more interested if the final is Nalbandian vs Ljubicic. Now, it will tape the final, check the response here and if the match is boring, I will just forget about it. :p

:wavey: Naah.... are the "true fans" also tuning in for the boys' and girls' slam finals? Or legends stuff? Or all doubles matches? Those are also tennis after all.

Fact is, a big part of sports watching for most people is by aligning yourself with a person or a group, cheering them on, enjoying the win with them (and gloating about it on the MTF) or crying with them (and hiding from all the trash talking one might have done on MTF prior to the loss)!

Absolutely. I would have been delighted for either man. As it stands, i dislike Nadal and am lukewarm on Federer, so i won't be watching tomorrow. I don't care who wins.
