first of all, if u've watched ivan play, u'll know that he actually overrules calls in his opponents favor on hard. if the ball was good and it was called out, he'll tell the ump that is was good. if he questioned the calls it's because he actually thought they were bad calls.

also, people saying ivan is an idiot for going for that second serve is retarded. had he made it, you would have said it was a brave move :o

I don't think the comparison is fair either. It started because tangerine alluded to Ivan's unsubstantiated statements against Andy at the U.S Open a couple of years ago.
"Everybody wants me to kick his ass..." blah blah.

I don't see how we are comparing Andy to Ivan.

Roddick is a former number 1, with 20 career titles, a three time master series champion, and grand slam champion. He's having a slump right now but compare Roddick's career to Ivan's and there is no comparison, Ivan is playing good tennis now but he certainly has not achieved anywhere near what Roddick has. I mean, Ivan has a mere 5 titles to his name, and still has a losing record to Andy(5-3).

give ljubo time.... I am certain he will show more .... and I am not just saying this because I am a fan, I am saying it because its the logical step... he is fit (probably fittest on the tour), his game is constantly getting better (he isnt a clay clown anymore...) and he has the harcourt part of the season right around the corner.....
and yes, Roddick was #1 before "Roger era" .... I am not saying anything against him, but you have to admitt it takes a player far greater than Rodick ever was to win a GS tournament today (with Rafa and Roger) or be # 1.
