Mary Pierce or Rafael Nadal

I was just watching the match btw Ljubo and Nadal, and the commentators were saying that its hard to gauge how long Rafa's matches really take because he takes so long btw points :o

I guess my question is both Pierce and Nadal have their endless routines, who takes longer?

Pierce....good lord...

Mary Joe Fernandez used to take forever as well. She could play a 6-1, 6-0 match for 2 hours on grass.

I love them both. I guess I just like fellow OCD people. Novak takes a long time, too, and I like him.

Oh well. It doesn't bother me. I don't see why it bothers so many other people.

I love Mary but it gets annoying when she takes so long, and since I'm not a fan of Rafa it just seems like an endless wait. Get playing already jeez

Mary is a headcase and needs time to collect herself. :p She isn't going to change, though.

Mary and Djoko are lovable, they are so warm on the court you can forgive them sometimes ;)

I really like Mary, but I have to say that she definetely takes more time than Nadal between points. It seems like she takes forever...However, I do think that Nadal does take too much time and should speed it up just a bit.

Pierce is the worst... and if those tactics aren't working she goes with the injury timeout
Nadal is bad but Pierce is worse by a long way.

I think the commentators said something like Rafa had enough time to check his emails, talk to his friends i'm sure but don't quote me on it. Pierce really annoys me but I don't really notice rafa taking that much time between points. I think the first time he goes to serve when he messes with his socks is annoying but after that he seems ok.

If Nadal was playing Roddick or Blake or Agassi, no doubt the American network Mary Carillo/John McEnroe/Pam Shriver work for would be getting the stopwatch out and reporting it to the tournament directors in a show of sour grapes pettiness. Last year when Pierce beat Lindsay Davenport (the last surviving American) at RG, Pam Shriver and Mary Carillo actually put in a complaint to the tournament referee afterwards with recorded times, and then went to Carlos Rodriguez (Henin's coach) before the final and "advised" him to tell Henin to go to the umpire and complain if Pierce went over 20 seconds. Like he is really going to listen to those two with chips on their shoulders.

It's up to the umpire to make the decisions. If beaten players and commentators have a problem with it, blame the officials not the players.

Pierce is more annoying of the both, but not so annoyling like Djokovic bouncing the ball 22 times :o
