Nope. I'm 100% realistic and I know there will not be match on clay. On any other surface the story would be different ;)

Also 14 finals overall which is simply mindblowing in the TMS era. He has also made 16 consecutive SF, and 26 consecutive QF's.

Yep. I like his chances on other surfaces, but he just can't move well enough to deal with Nadal here. It is going to be a long day for Ivan unless he serves 80% of his 1st serves in. :)

What a pity, I shall mourn the death of claycourt tennis on Sunday when Federer serve and volley his way to the title.

Note that the last time Federer didn't reach a final was last years Roland Garros when Nadal beat him in the semis. Ergo, Roger has not lost before the finals in 52 weeks. This guy never ceases to come up with incredible achievements.

Serve and volley? You have actually watched a game of tennis in your life, have you?

There are many who dislike his dominance, dislike him because they beat his favorite, etc. But even those who dislike him for these reasons will concede that his game is beautiful to watch

Magnificent record already. And 27 straight matches in Grand Slam, only 2 away from Laver's 29...

At least this is better than the veiled hating i.e. I hate dominance...

As some other posters have mentioned, Agassi was the last to make the finals of all four slam events in a row, in 1999-2000. But yes, before Agassi, Laver was the last, in 1969.

If you look back and consider the players of previous generations who chose not to play the Australian Open, there are some amazing runs though. For example:

BjORN BORG*:

1978 FO: W
1978 Wim: W
1978 USO: F
1979 FO: W
1979 Wim: W

and then another streak:

1980 FO: W
1980 Wim: W
1980 USO: F
1981 FO: W
1981 Wim: F
1981 USO: F

*Borg only played the Australian once, losing in the third round in 1974.
