I just woke up and the score was 3-6 0-3. Looks like Federer and I woke up at exactly the same time. Maybe we're telepathically linked and I'd better stay up (it's 5 am here)...

Federer doesn't feel like playing because he was greeted with empty stands It was like the players were playing for fun the first set What an anti-climax! Federer was wondering "what am I doing here? Is this what I was looking for and working for?" He constantly looked towards the audieces and looked immensly dissapointed and frustrated

Damn, I'm at work and can't watch this match, but from the stats it sounds
awesome. Can someone describe how they are playing? How come Nalbo
has so many points when the sum of his winners and Fed's UE's are
3 times lower?

I guess the French crowd finished their lunches. Now it is almost full.

Well if he hadn't noticed the fact yet I can do anything for him, since the very beginning of the tourny, people are still having lunch when the matches begin on the big courts, and they come after 20/30 min of play. And BTW the beginning of the match was not very interesting ( and it's often the case) Would do you want ot make me believe he lost the first set because of the lack of audience ?

Now this game is going to be controlled by Fed, a one sided match, I hope this does not get boring.

Fed was playing like a zombie at the beg & then sudenly woke up. Now I hope that David reacts also.

I don't understand why Roger kepps hitting to Nalby's backhand. Doesn't he know it's arguably the best in the game ?? Just wrong foot him Roger. Don't let him get used to playing his backhand!

Nalbandian calls for the trainer. Maybe just wants to slow the match down. It's too fast at the moment.

Roger goes back into his shell. Has chances to put Nalbandian away and break for 4-1 lead, but a few passive points from Roger sees Nalbandian holding his serve to trail 2-3 in the 3rd. Federer guilty of letting his man off the hook.

The commentator mentioned how quickly the players were playing, not taking much time btw points

Nalbandian seems to be injured again, as usual. Its' always the same story with him. He is not fit enough to play more than 5 matchers in a GS (Roddick 2003, Gaudio 2004, etc)

Allez
06-09-2006, 12:48 PM
Few good serves from Roger sees him serve for a 4-2 lead. Nalbandian still playing OK despite the injury.

What a crappy way to end the match. The first and 2nd sets had some really good tennis in them.
