Grass season starts tomorrow!

With the Surbiton challenger of course!
Tomorrow will see some magnificent matches as grass gods Razvan Sabau and Nathan Healey will battle it out. :worship:
Also, the future of British tennis will be decided as we will see the long awaited showdown between Richard Bloomfield and Jamie Baker!
And who can ever forget last years final between Bracialli and Karlovic? The length of the rallies and the patience these two heroes showed on that faithfull Sunday afternoon is locked in the heart of every tennis fan worldwide. Contrary to expctations the match ended in the tight score of 6-7(0) 7-6(5) 7-6(4).
Karlovic managed to end 8 out of his 13 sets in a tiebreak that week! Bracciali did even better, ending with a tiebreak 8 out of 12 tries. :yeah:

But honestly, I do like the grass season! I thought a bit of green amongst all the Roland Garros thread might be a sight for sore eyes to some! :)

Grass is overrated. Even Srichaphan chooses to play Prostejov on clay :yeah:

PS. After Jamie Delgado already lost, Surbiton is not the same and not likely to be.

Jeff Morrison AND Alejandro Falla are playing Surbiton! Surely these legends cannot be wrong?

Not hater, only allergic. Do mind your words.

I don't care about Morrison unless he's Jim, but this tournament does have a political accent, as a Southern African spy from Whitehouse has qualified to the main draw.

:worship: I am pretty certain Jim was a big fan of grass too! In fact, if it wasn't for grass, I doubt we'd be able to listen to magnificent songs like Moonlight Drive!

Yeah, and he beat a chimpanzee expert in the process, apparently... :p

He has also lost to Federer in Wimbledon what makes him King, Queen and Freddy Mercury altogether.

"Riders on the storm" and "People are strange" = my personal favourites. Too bad such a grass loving person ended up in the land of claycourt, Paris. Sarcastic coincidence this to be. But his descendant (or at least surname taker) seems to share the passion.

 Scandalous comments from an English person.

If I was one of the SW19 organisers, I would say 'Et tu Rosie?'

The way Riders on the storm is overdubbed by Jim whispering the lyrics is just brilliant!

:) Luckily I will not be darkening their doors so they won't hear me say it! Anyway - this is the time of year when I conveniently remember that, athough born and brought up here, I am only half English  I do love Timmy though!!

What makes a mood for more music, less grass court tennis is my ticket for Jan Garbarek's concert :) Adorable jazz :hearts:
