federer shouldnt have a problem to go into the SF
so does nadal and nalbandian, i hope...

now it seems to be depending on ljubicic, who actually has a relatively easy road to SF compare to nalbandian and nadal, imo...
no?

someone tell me please when was the last time the top 4 seeds into SF in RG???
(i think it must be quite a while....)

is it going to happen this year?

I think Nalby and Ljubo won't make it

Federer and Nadal will be there without a doubt. Nalbandian will have a very tough match against Davydenko. This can be the upset. Not too sure about Ljubicic, since I didn't see him play since the beginning of the tournament.

The best news is that for once we won't have a fluke finalist in the final of Roland Garros. Not that anyone who makes the final of a grand slam is a fluke, but it'll be nice if we get a finalist who doesn't get pounded by a far superior player.

agree :yeah:

so lets hope all four of them can make their ways into the SF....

(though i think some fedtards will sincerely pray and hope rafa/nalby can stop before that....)

Ljubicic is 65% lock for SF, tomorrow can be tricky, but everytime i have the same feeling, he comes out and smokes the opponent  so im thinking tomorrow he will win 6-3 6-4 6-2 or lose 4-6 7-5 5-7 4-6

you guys underestimate ramirez-hidalgo. watch out, ivan is no clay specialist and has failed to show up at grand slams. he also is very tired.

I think DavyD will pull of the Nalby upset, he has been very impressive. Possibly the most impressive seed in the tournie so far

I think Ivan will not make it, Nalbandian is a 50% chance. Roger and Rafa will make it.

A roger rafa final is a dead lock...rafa will be well rested after his one day break and will thrash hewitt in 3

I somehow don't see Ljubicic beating Ramirez-Hidalgo...of the four, he is the biggest question mark purely on his lack of clay court results at this level and facing a tough clay court opponent.

first- Ivan is not tired  we all should know this by now, from last year
and 2nd Hidalgo does have 3 good wins this year, but 2 are vs Coria, and we all should know that coria SUCKS this years  he gives up 4 games via Double fault per match.

You were wrong, Ivan is far better player on clay than you give him credit to be! And he can loose to Benneteau only because of the pressure and not 'cause he sucks on clay!

so far ivan has played exactly as well as he's had too to keep winning. he's not going for a lot with his serves, not getting many aces. he's also been patient because he knows that his opponents will eventually miss. he plays like this early in tournaments all the time, that's why he sometimes loses if one of his lower ranked opponents is on fire. trust me, if he makes the semis, he's gonna fight hiis heart out

The chance of upset, in descending order:

Nalbandian
Nadal

Federer

So, after seeing Roger and David win, will Rafa and Ivan make it? It looks like David wasn't the one who going to lose after all.

Nadal will make it, Ivan will make it only because hes had such a joke draw. no one in the top 60something i think

Yep well I sure was wrong :)

Sorry Ivan and very well done on beating Ramirez-Hidalgo

It's nice to see Ivan finally stringing some good slam results together.

And really he should beat Benneteau you would think. Ivan's done enough DC not to care about the crowd support, and Benneteau should get nervous as hell at the prospect of the semi, I think. If Ivan can keep cool and play his game, we should end up with a 1,2,3,4 semi lineup.
