The Pig vs The Potato... who will win?

Yes yes I know the Mathieu match is not over yet but Mathieu is giving it his all and barely keeping afloat so it's pretty evident Nadal will beat him.

I say Nadal will rip Hewitt a new one too- 3 sets.

I think this thread is premature. Rafa is having a completely miserable break point conversion rate and that will not bode him well.

Well, that's what he should be doing. Giving his all. That's how upsets happen.

1-0 Mathieu :)

PHM just won the first set

Doesn't matter- one and a half hours just to win the first set Mathieu must be exhausted. He can't play any better than he has been and I don't see how he will be able to keep his intensity up.

Rafa will only get more determined. The next three sets will be 6-1,6-0,6-2 to Nadal ;)

I don't understand how you can say that..........Mathieu played extremely well on those break points.......he went for winners, he didn't wait on Nadal to make errors. Anyway, Mathieu cannot keep up this level of play and I'm sure Nadal knows this..........

This thread is premature. King Nadal is having a hard time with Mathiew.

OK, so i was wrong about the margin of the last three sets but still my prediction came true.

So, now we can finally begin the discussion (as if we really need one as it's a no brainer).

Damn you beat me to it.

Hewitt seems to be having a great tournament and I love idea of the matchup of his intensity against Nadal's. As to whether or not it will turn out to be a good match - I guess we'll have to wait and see. Hopefully we'll get another surprisingly good one like today's.

After watching Mathieu-Nadal match, I think Hewitt definitely has a chance.
But I say Nadal in five.

Hewitt has a chance, but thin

I don't think that should be a problem for him- he can just keep going and going and going.... etc.

Mathieu has definitely given Rafa a workout. Hewitt has a chance - at least I like to think that.

I know Rafael is slightly fitter than Andy Murray   but nobody has unlimited fitness and energy.

Rafa hasn't been playing at his usual high level lately, and it still seems to me like he isn't completely comfortable yet. So, I think Hewitt can definitely challenge Nadal. It's a match up that I would like to see, given their previous results together.

I hope Nadal raises his level of play, and defeats Hewitt. However, I wouldn't mind seeing Hewitt win either, this RG is somewhat of a comeback for him, and i'm happy to see him playing with some intensity.

It would be definitely interesting to see who will outvamos and outcome-on the other.

This should be an interesting match.. don't think I can watch it (Nadal's ass picking combined with Hewitt's many nervous tics and crotch grabbing might be too much for me :o )

Nadal will probably win, but there's no way I'm counting out Hewitt.. he never gives up.
So I might just go with Lleyton.

I thought at times Nadal had a slightly worrying look on his face.. for some reason PHM looked almost physically fitter than Nadal.

Do pigs eat potatoes?

According to this song they do:

http://www.kcls.org/webkids/btgo/themepigs.cfm

Five Little Pigs
The first little pig squeals and squeals
Because he is eating potato peels.
The next little pig with a curly tail
Is drinking milk from a shiny pail.
The third little pig just likes to play
She rolls and rolls in the mud all day.
The fourth little pig is just a runt
But he is the one with the loudest grunt.
The fifth little pig says, “I will share
My lunch with you for I’ve some to spare.”
Five little pigs are in their pen
So now shall we count them all over again?

:sobbing: :p

Well here we are a year later and we find the exact sae scenario repeating itself. The Pig faces Potato in the round of 16 in RG.

Will the Pig devour its victim quicker than it did last year? Or will the Potato magically transform itself into a banana and choke the Pig to a halt? :p

nadal's improved since last yr, hewitt is not injured, but theres not enough to make this match competitive especially considering nadal is not tired.
