Nadal's backhand improving? An underrated asset?

Because his FH is so strong, people think his backhand wing is weak or underrate his backhand only to be surprised. In fact the more I watch Nadal the more i see his double fisted Backhand developing into a strong weapon. I particularly like the backhand jab cross court on the run. That is fast becoming trademark Nadal.

Yes. His serve is improving pretty fast too.

whats key to nadal's serve is he always gets em in, very high first serve percentages help - on any surface. Lots of work on the ball - probably the most of any top player(thats where the muscles go - into the spin not the power). It helps every other aspect of the game is good. But he has to work harder as he doesn't get too many cheap points on Serve, like say Ljubicic, Ancic, Fed or Berdych.

Yes but he's getting their. His 1st serve % is quite impressive and his aces count are getting up. :)

What I really admire about him is he knows his weak points, doesn't hide from them and try hard, most of the time successfully, to eliminate them.

He's a sweet kid and a great player. :)

Well, comparing his English now to last year, I'd say he's come a long way, don't you think? ;)

I think he's pretty good at overcoming his handicaps. :)

His backhand has been improving for a long time. He's very good at passing off the backhand side now, it's improving all the time.

His serve has improved no end, I remember not so long ago people were saying he served like a girl. I think he's been broken once in his first 2 matches at RG (I know the rest of his game helps that but still......)

Yes and I really hated that comment.

Anyway, what matters is now. :)
