It's back to the German Beer for Fab - Gerry Weber Open -Halle-2006

The next Tournament Fab is scheduled to play in is back in Germany. The Tournament is in Halle and the dates are 6/12 - 6/18. Allez Fab :D

This event starts on Monday and I just discovered I should get some daily coverage. :bounce: Hope they show Fab. :)

Yes especially with our lack of TV coverage :sad: DirecTV I think has every sport in the world covered except for tennis :fiery: They are even showing the World Cup of Cricket :eek: The only place I knew that played Cricket was England, but I guess since it is a "World Cup" other countries must play that game also. But we definitely don't play Cricket in the U.S.

Not an easy 1st match for Fab. And certainly less easy for the 2nd round, whoever gets through. Anyway, good luck to him. The coverage I should get isn't complete, and it's gonna be only 2 hours a day. But at least, it is daily. Last year, we only had the semis and the final. :)

Choupi you are getting a lot more coverage than I am :sad: I had hoped Fab would do better in this Tournament. But the draw doesn't look so good for Fab :sad: BTW thanks for the draw Choupi :)

Former Finalists Santoro & Safin Advance in Halle

French wizard Fabrice Santoro defeated Mikhail Youzhny 7-6(4), 6-2 and 2005 finalist Marat Safin out muscled Florent Serra 7-6(4), 6-3 to reach the second round of the Gerry Weber Open in Halle Tuesday.

Santoro reached the Halle final on debut in 2001 (l. T. Johansson) but in three subsequent appearances has failed to reach the quarterfinals. Santoro came into the tournament having lost in the first round in five of his past seven tournaments. He began the season strongly by reaching his first career Grand Slam quarterfinal at the Australian Open and the Marseille quarterfinals.

Work instead of getting to watch Fabrice :( I think it might be a long shot for Fab to reach the semis, but I certainly would be happy for him to prove me wrong :D

Well Fab is still in Halle. He and Zimonjic won the Doubles Semi-finals today :) Sorry I didn't write down any of the information, because I thought it would have already been posted.

Fab & Nenad have won the final 6/0 6/4. :banana: I guess this just contributes to bringing them closer to their main goal, that is Wimby in doubles. :)
